Mrs V is changing her fone soon - been looking at D500 since it came out - waiting to see how many the stores have back faulty!!

Looks like it's as good as everyone says!!

We like Samsung anyway - Nokia are far too common - but people reckon easy to use!!

    http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk is worth a peek!!

Also think on the E720 Samsung, if you like flip - this IS a good fone - if the 700 it replaces is anything to go by!!

    Hi,

I love the Samsung d500 as the phone is well but together and looks great. The software could be easier to use on the Samsung D500 and still sells for about £250 without a contract.

The Nokia 6230 is easier to use however....... but is being replaced now with the 6230i model. Without a contract £150 would be a fair price to pay.

Be careful as I know Orange are changing there commissions to certain shops, so I am sure this price will increase after tomorrow.

    Best Regards

    Barry

Been using the d500 since january and ive got to say its the best phone i had or seen in a long time, normally by this time i am lining up a new phone but there is nothing out there better than what i have, the d500s camera is 1.3 against the 6230 vga camera, is sturdy and well built and has huge memory.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Depends what you want:

If you want a feature packed expensive phone: D500
If you want a solid & not a slide phone: 6230
If you want high quality photo and video on the camera: D500 (However note the quality is crap when transferred to computer so limited benefit really)
    Easier to use: 6230
Lower risk of getting mugged: 6230
Expandable memory: 6230 can go to 1gb! This slaughters the d500's 80mb internal. Also mmc is relatively cheap. So if you want lots of mp3's/games etc - 6230.

Overally the D500 is the better phone which is why its £100 more, but you have to consider if you NEED its extra features

D500 is much better - love mine, 2 main issues, no external memory and can't have different profiles as with Nokia's otherwise is really easy to use and functions are top banana!
2p off is still 2p off!
