Afternoon all,
I can't believe it's Wednesday again! I seem to have run out of time this week.
Hasn't it been a glorious day? I loved standing out in the sunshine today but wished I remembered the sunglasses
So yesterday I went to the cash and carry with a friend who has a ticket and got some good value (very MSE) food bits: 5kg of chicken breasts for just under £20, a very large bottle of persil colour for £7.50 and a few other foodie bits. I think I'll be visiting again.
I tried the start delay timer on my washing machine last night and set it to come on at half five so it was finished by half six when I get up. I must admit I opened the utility room door expecting it to look the same as when I went to bed and was so excited (sad, I know) to see the finished light flashing.
DH is annoying me a bit as his van keeps playing up, sometimes it starts and sometimes it won't. He keeps asking me what he should do about it. I offer helpful suggestions but keep telling him I'm not a ruddy mechanic! So he has parked it (after it started) 1/4 of a mile from home and if it doesn't start tomorrow he will call the RAC out. Sod's law it will be fine.
Anyway have a good evening0 -

NPM it's so wrong that you have to continue fighting the LEA for what you know is right for your son. I hope you don't have to continue fighting too much to get him the education that is right for him.0

Evening all
Flying visit from me, I'm absolutely wiped out.
I worked 6:30 'til 3, took hubby to the Dr's, walked to the chemist to collect my prescription, collected DGS from school, walked back to the Dr's collected the car, drove DGS, to science club, drove back to Dr's to collect hubby, dropped hubby at home, made him a toasted cheese sarnie, collected some books for DGS, drove back to collect DGS, dropping into the supermarket en rote to pick up gluten free bread for DD., found DGS, drove him home, drove back to my house, cooked tea, ate tea, cleared up, made 2 phone calls, phew, can I go to bed now?
Have a good evening everybody.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Evening all
I have a date for returning to work :T
Will start a phased return on 20th. Final check at doc on 14th to make sure.
Went in past work to drop my line off. On way back my OH noticed an elderly lady collapsed at bus stop with a friend trying to pick her up. Stopped the car and went to help. Poor lady had collapsed but adamant not going to hospital. Offered to take her home and call a relative but she collapsed again. So had to call 999 for an ambulance and keep her comfortable till they arrived. Worst thing now is I have no idea if she is ok or notthey took her into ambulance and were trying to persuade her to go to hospital. Can't stop thinking about her
Am so tired today so am in my bed already. Goodness knows what I will be like when I return to work.
Sorry you are having to keep fighting NPM was hoping for better news for you all x
Enjoy the rest of your evening everyone x0 -
Hi everyone,
Long time, no post, but have been reading. My boyfriend is just cooking up the leftover batter so we are having pancakes two nights running :j Had a healthy homemade soup stuffed with loads of veg so don't feel too bad about it!
Went over to my parents for the weekend, they live about 2 hours away (I moved here for work). It was combined with a dress fitting as I am bridesmaid for my brother and his fiance in the Summer. The dress is beautiful but I have to keep biting my tongue when I see how much they are spending on things! The wedding itself is abroad too so of course we are all expected to pay for a 2 week trip to join them
I am another one thankful for the brighter mornings, it does wonders for my general mood, although I still have phases when I am feeling quite down. Work has been a bit hectic lately and I've bene getting quite stressed but I seem to have a quieter period coming up thankfully.
Thinking of those that are struggling, especially lonewhitewolf, mrsmortenharket and NPM
Have a good evening all

Thank you Emma xxx
I always think it's a bit selfish to go abroad & get married. Not them getting married abroad, but the fact that they generally expect people to go. Weddings are generally expensive at the best of times! I hope you have a lovely time though x
Small child finally in bed. He is getting harder & harder to put to bed & he is refusing to let dh help.
Hope everyone had a good sleep. good night xxx0
