Morning all,
I was late getting up this morning. Things kept going round in my head in the night and waking me up. It didn't help that Millie dog needed to go outside to wee and Lucy dog has got one hell of a snore on her. At 6am I was scraping the contents of my bin liners up after the cats had got to them overnight. Damned cats! Sorted Millie dog out. Stuffed the rubbish back in new bin bags and went to bed.
Pancakes went down well, apparently I didn't make enough though they all had 5 each. I might make them again with self raising flour next time and see what happens.:D

Morning all
Hope you're all well. It's a. Beautiful, if cold, morning out there.
Traffic awful had things to do but turned around & came home.
I'm struggling a bit at the moment with the black dog. My sons autism etc is getting me down. Everything is such a fight.
It's my sisters birthday today. Hopefully the traffic will have eased soon so I can get her cards to her.
Our pancakes were delicious last night. I made a huge amount of batter but it still didn't seem like enough!
Dinner tonight is mac cheese for the kids & corned beef hash with cauli cheese for me & dh.
Love, hugs & spoons xxx0 -
Morning all
Lovely day down here in Kent, bit chilly still but so sunny.
Just, off for my daily swim, then meeting a cousin for a bit of shopping home for tea and then out for our monthly quiz.
Good start to the day with a 'nice cup of tea nanny and grandad' with our oz granddaughter! it's lovely when their make believe world is so very real, also had pretend pumpkin soup,
Hope you all have a good day, the sun makes me feel so good, got the sandals out of the loft yesterday, ever optimistic eh?Carolbee0 -
DONNY-GAL – haha, my girls certainly do know how to play me. I’m a walkover. If they don’t eat their dinner though, I don’t cook anything else and they are allowed a cracker or some bread. They are better than what they used to be though, so small steps.
Let us know how all the Groupon treatments go. Keep meaning to buy one for me and my mum when they are on offer, but never seem to get round to it. I have to be a bit careful with all the massages as I have a broken neck (yes really) and so can’t have anything too rough done to me!
LAMEWOLF – thanks for the info about sunflower seeds. Might make it into a little project for them, not sure if they will have enough patience though. It was bad enough when mum gave them a couple of those little head things that grow grass out the top.
SISTERCAS – yay! More pancakes for dinner. Must admit I do love pancakes myself. Once I ate so many that I actually threw up. Don’t think I’ve ever done that by eating too much of anything else. I was quite young at the time though. Chicken and sweetcorn eh? Never had savoury pancakes, might give them a go. It’s always loads of lemon and sugar in mine. Yum.
NMLC – thank you so much for the recipe. The girls had chicken pops and curly fries for dinner last night and didn’t even eat much of that. What kid doesn’t eat that?! But they are both a little under the weather and DD1(5) asked for a specific dinner today, so guessing she’ll eat it. Sausages, pasta, and a packet sauce that I get from abroad.
JACKIEO – that really does sound so sweet feeding the birds like that. Ah, wish I had a pet robin/song thrush now!
For my dinner last night, I had venison sausages and they were yum! Resisted the last one and put it in DD1’s lunchbox as the last time we had venison, she loved it!
Slept in the top bunk of my daughters’ beds last night and I am coming round to why my eldest doesn’t like sleeping in it. Not the most comfortable of mattresses. I slept there because my mum had to sleep over as I had an doctor’s appointment last night, so she slept in my bed and it just so happened that the girls decided they wanted to sleep together in the bottom bunk and I knew one or both of them would climb into my bed with my mum (it really is musical beds in my house), so thought I would get a decent night sleep in the air away from them, but it wasn’t to be.
Back to work again today and mum is in charge of girlies. Do love my mum, if it wasn’t for her, have no idea what I’d do. But she seems to enjoy minding my girls. We both get the best of both world. Working three days a week and then off for the rest.
Not sure what is for dinner tonight, don’t think there is enough sausages to go round me and mum as well. Ah well, sure it will be nice whatever it is.

GWS wishes for Mr Molly; I really do think you guys deserve a bit of a break, you seem to have had so much to contend with. And Molly-Dog, you little monkey, behave yourself!!:D
Anyone got any spare spoons? I'm all out of them, and I have a load of tasks wanting doing.
Last night Mr LW was whinging that the hanky drawer was nearly empty (I checked, there were 15 in there, so his idea of "nearly empty" obviously differs from mine). Anyways, I duly put a towels'n'hankies wash on overnight; but there were only 12 dirty hankies. Now, I know we have more than that, as I've washed 30 at a time before now, so..... where had the others gone? Turns out the silly devil had put them in the bed drawer with the clean bedlinen.:D Senior moment, perhaps?:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone,
Great news for DD sistercas, it's such a tough field to get into.
Molly, sorry to hear about DH, hope he gets well soon.
JO, we are doing a quiz on Friday, not a regular one, just twice a year, but we love it. We usually win!
I'm going to make macaroni cheese for dinner tonight, it's something I've never made before so I must search for a recipe - I think I'll jazz it up with ham and tomatoes otherwise it seems so bland, probably why I've never been tempted to try it.
Apart from that it's the same old things today - a bit of housework a bit of sewing, a bit of cooking, with maybe a walk thrown in.
I jazz my macaroni cheese up with a sliced onion, and lots of pepperoni, some I chop up and put in the sauce the rest goes on the top to get luverly and crispyBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Sistercas well done to DD2:T ....which uni is she off to?
I've been on half term hols in Haworth so not been around so not sure of any news but hugs to anyone in need of them.
Well, I may have won my case against the LEA! Not certain yet as I've not had any confirmation....but Senco rang to say they have been sent a list of allocated secondary schools and next to Noah's name is the autism specific resource school!! I can't think why it would be on there if it hand been allocated.....trying to get in touch with his principal officer at LEA SEN section to find out.
They do have a habit of sending things to our old address:o
So please pray/ fingers crossed that my 2 months of stress and law research and hard bloody work have paid off and I've got them to change their minds:T0 -
Snoozer....best ever Mac and cheese here
