    In that the case it should be ok to ignore the reminder.
    But if it worries you just do a quick covering letter saying PCN xxxxxxxx was appealed on (date) and that any further correspondence from them, other than their response to that appeal, will be considered harassment - don't sign it squiggle it.
    Then send it with a photocopy of the final reminder, a hard copy of your appeal and a print out of their acknowledgement email.
    Then take to Post office, send 1st class and ask for a free proof of posting
