A house around the corner from me has been for sale for over 6 months with 2 different boards in the front garden. Whoever bought it to do it up decided that instead of rebuilding the front garden retaining wall out of brick, they'd use railway sleepers.
Then paint them orange.
The effort involved in ripping these out, then building a wall properly, would mean I'd probably want £10K off the asking price for this faux pas alone. Make sure you haven't got any similar 'good idea at the time' issues with your property.0 -
