Hey, TheWife!
it seems like they really have had the survey done and have found nothing to enquire about (which i really do find bizzare lol) they have asked for an electrical certificate today, which i have duly provided.
Ahh really similar positions then, we are selling to FTB AFAIK too.
Persimmon's exch date for us was the 7th March which obviously is not happening now (our valuation is only being done on the 7th, i've found out today) but we are still going to aim for 14th.
Completion is currently pencilled to 4th April at my request - Persimmon asked for 28th March which I simply can't do as a) I'm in Vegas and b) I said on my mortgage app that I would pay £2000 off my credit card which I can't do until payday (31st March)
I should be really laid back as *touch wood* the buyers have been super laid back, fuss-free and efficient, but I still feel like there's still too many things that could go wrong to relax!Spreadsheet-obsessed.0 -
A holiday before moving house - a very good idea! Will you have everything packed and sorted before you go in that case?
We've done everything we can and are now waiting for others to do their work which should be a good feeling, but instead leaves me wanting to hurry them along!
Keep posting - loving your very organised diary entries!0 -
And I'm very much of the opinion that it's a cautiously optimistic approach until that exchange of contracts has taken place. Then I'll begin to feel excited and start properly planning, packing, etc.
Until then, life continues as normal and we try to keep calm!0 -
The holiday before moving wasn't planned
haha. We booked that in about August if I remember correctly! It will be nice to go on hols then move in. I think if i was already moved in, I'd spend the whole holiday wanting to get back home and enjoy the new house.
We are going to start thinking about packing as soon as exchange gets a bit more concrete-looking (ie when my mortgage offer comes through).
I have booked my removal already, cos they haven't charged a deposit and are happy to move the date (just Fridays are busy for obvious reasons) and I might pre-book my brother in law to tile the kitchen floor on moving in weekend. But I won't be paying out for anything until we know for sure.
Yes i hate that feeling when you've done all you can and just waiting on othersmine was like that for a couple of weeks, then my buyers went full steam ahead and i was lagging haha.
