I have borrowed the OH's car today, following the incident in mine yesterday until he get's chance to sort it - I don't mind, I prefer his car to mine unless it snows!!

    Good morning everybody,

Well it was glorious yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed my dog walks but I got drenched through to the skin this morning so had to change and my coat is hanging in the garage to dry.

Beef stew in the sc for later-starting to smell good.DH and DS2 are a bit fed up as there isnt any work in for them at the moment, though DH went to look at an extension yesterday- fingers crossed smiley

Not much else going on so will just leave well wishes for anyone in need and hope you all have a pleasant day x

    Morning all,
Haven't been on recently. Had a rotten sore throat all weekend, nearly gone now:T My immune system is still very low, so I pick up things easily.:o

DD & SIL are coming over for dinner. Have bought DGD a gingerbread man and an alphablocks magazine.

We have a chicken pasta dish that I made up with leftover chicken, half a jar of left over peppers , mushrooms and some black olives from a jar I've had for ages. Combined it with a couple of jars of Lloyd grossman sauce (from approved foods) and there's enough to feed an army!:rotfl:

    Pancakes for dessert of course.

Heard today that a friend is getting divorced, they were the least unlikely pair to do so, you never know what goes on in other people's lives.:o

    Have a good day all.

    Afternoon all,

A beautiful sunny day here. Still none too warm though.

Had a message from Mr T wanting pancakes. I felt really mean when he's working miles away from home so ive invited him for tea again, he hasn't got back to me yet but that's the only way he'll get his pancakes. I hate being a 'hostess'. Not that I think of the hastle, its just a role I don't feel confortable in. I don't feel good enough.

Not much else to add. Youngest had a bit of an accident last night. I thought we were going to have to take him to A&E but thankfully not.

Usual household chores to be started (I'm late today). Tea will be chicken breast, wedges and something green (to make up the 5 a day). Pancakes for desert.

    Have a good day all,

Hiya -sneaking in to try and stay on track today :)

    JackieO, congrats on Charlie John!

Two loads of washing on line (with Rotaire cover on because it now looks a bit overcast) and kitchen cloths and teatowels on a boil wash atm.

New sheets on bed. My bedroom clear enough to actually do some more tidying in it again - part-filled box of charity shop books sitting on bed inviting me to find more. ;)

Difficult situation with hall rental booking for work resolved - emails, phone calls etc - but I think we are sorted at last.

Printed NHS opt out forms for all of us to sign ready to deliver to surgery.

Veg box order put away and boxes folder ready for collection... need to convince DS2 to tidy up kitchen a bit more.

Need to do filing, shredding, accounts, bank cheques, get to charity shop, dump/recycling, make supper ready for when we get back late... ugh. And all I want to do is have a little afternoon snooze :(. I'm not too well atm so ought to give in to it a bit.

If anyone has a smidgen of motivation and energy spare can you chuck it my way. :D Maybe I'll just go and try to fill that box of books then have a tiny little rest on the bed.;)

I know what you mean; when Mr LW's pal said that he and his wife were splitting up, I was totally gobsmacked; I thought if it can happen to A and K it can happen to absolutely anyone - I'd thought they were as stable a couple as you'd ever meet. I have to admit, it gave me pause to worry, what if Mr LW suddenly decided he's had enough and wants out of the marriage?:( Anyways, I hope your friend can get through it all with minimum hassle. It's never a pleasant experience, but it's a lot worse if it's acrimonious (she says, from experience).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

You can have whats left of mine. My head is somewhere in the clouds today.:o

Lamewolf it rarely happens like that. There are usually signs in the marriage that things aren't what it should be. These signs aren't usually displayed for all to see. I was blind to see my first marriage was failing but the signs were there. I'm sure your friends were just very good at covering up their unhappiness in the marriage.

    Afternoon my lovelies.

Was a beautiful morning here. Weight watchers is going well (day 2 haha) Pancakes for afters tonight, MrG wants them for mains too, but I think I might talk him out of that one! Think dinner will instead be a veggie something with vegetables and new potatoes as those need using up.

Not much to report really, need to clean my kitchen and bathroom tonight.

Had a wedding nightmare last night haha, I ordered our invites yesterday and I dreamt that they were spelt wrong! Hopefully that won't be the case when they arrive.

Hugs to all who want/need them
