i had tonsillitis 8 times last year most with 2-3 weeks recovery time and had massive tonsils when they werent inflamed anyway so they restricted the amount i could swallow and my tongue movements. so it now feels like i have much more room in there
the hospital advised toast as it doesnt go doughy like bread when you chew it and it is rough so helps with healingThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
My daughter had hers removed last year, she was 17. She had a horrendous recovery from it, 3/4 weeks before she was back on her usual form. She still suffers from nasty throat infections too, similar to tonsolitis, it certainly wasn't a magical cure for her.0

Thanks for the update double mummy I'm glad you're doing ok. Toast is what I've mainly been eating, it hurts like hell going down but it feels strangely good scraping by. I can't eat anything that sticks to my throat like ice-cream, ugh. I know what you mean by more room - my throat and uvula are still really swollen but I can tell that there's more space for my tongue, if you know what I mean. Looking forward to the benefits when it stops hurting so much.
