Just to let you know, it is always worth contacting your existing b/band and phone supplier, especially when your contract is coming up for renewal.

My unlimited b/band and phone is currently with TalkTalk. I saw a deal a few days ago for Plusnet for unlimited b/band and free phone during weekends for £2.99 per month plus monthly line rental.

Anyway contacted TalkTalk and hey presto.....they have agreed to renew my contract for a futher 12 months, where for £14.25 (includes paying 12 month rental upfront, which equates to £10.50 per month) per month, I get :

- unlimited b/band

- free evening and weekend calls.

Now I just need to work on Sky to see whether I can get a deal on my TV.

Er no....Just realised that Plusnet can easily beat this deal if I used Quidco, which means that I will get the same package for less than £13 per month. Even better if I don't get a deal on Skyports as BT Sports just costs an additional £5.99 per month; much cheaper than getting BT Sports with Sky !

Off to Plusnet then lol:rotfl:.

Good on you and all the best with it.

From personal experience, currently going through a proper mare with Talk Talk I can't wait for my contract to be up in just over 6 months, I've even considered buying out the remainder of my contract but I'm too frugal to do that.

I've been with Talk Talk for about 5 years with the phone and not had many issues at all, however, I went with them for Broadband 6 months ago and, in hindsight it didn't feel right from the start so I shouldn't have gone through with it. They didn't offer the same benefits on my phone line that I had been receiving for the previous 4 years and the Broadband service is woeful.

Most of all though, I have found their customer service to be appalling and I'll happily pay more to improve any or all of the above issues when I change supplier.

All the best with whoever you go to

Told them I was leaving, paid £17.10 a month plus bt line rental for standard broadband. They are paying 12 month line rental, unlimited fibre broadband plus any time calls, £12.25 a month. 38mg speed. Can't fault them :-)
