Parcel signed and delivered but not by me!

Hello

i was expecting a parcel last week that i needed to sign for personally after the courier left a card missing me on the thursday

so i rebooked for the next day delivery thru the website yodel

waited in all friday but no-one turns up :(

waited again on saturday and by 3/4pm i tried to contact the courier website and i find out its been delivered and signed for! but not by me, asked my neighbours but they saw/recieved nothing and it was only to be be signed by me due to its value i guess

i have sent a e-note to ebuyer and tried to contact yodel who say its been delievered

frustrated and confused, what are my rights?

thanks in advance

Half the time with Yodel, in my experience, they suddenly "find" the parcel again despite previously saying it had been signed for.

Its a known fact that parcels do occasionally go missing for one reason or another and so just deal with eBuyer and they will ultimately sort it all out

All the while I was reading your post I was thinking 'I bet this is Yodel' :wall:

I've had this happen twice with Yodel (both parcels from Amazon), co-incidentally both parcels 'signed for' with the same distinctive name (no-one I've ever heard of).
I suspect that the driver signed for them as 'delivered' to meet his targets

Both parcels did turn up a few days later.

I would contact whoever you ordered the goods from as it is them who have the contract with the courier and it is their responsibility to get the goods to you.
    Good luck.
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

You can not take them to court, well you can but you will lose.
You have no contract with them.
They were contracted by the seller and if the item has been stolen/ lost/ dumped that is their problem not yours.

The seller will gladly let you fall in the rut, you should contact the seller and inform them the contract is incomplete, the item has not had the contract sealed by obtaining your signature and if they can not provide a solution you shall contact your card provider for a charge back.
(some debit cards do this now)
failing that issue a letter before action, but stick firmly to the "courier is not your problem" line.
    Be happy...;)

Try getting back to ebuyer even if they haven't replied. I think they only have premium rate numbers to call on but It might be an idea to do so if you aren't having luck e-mailing them

This is a well known practice of cheap parcel firms. If you are the only delivery for your location they won't deliver until there are a few more to be delivered, and if there isn't they will hand it off to another cheap parcel co and around it goes again.
Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring
