You can look up the owner details in the land registry too.
Court is not that expensive as anything under 15k you don't need a solicitor. It's a simple process, although not as simple as TDS.0 -
Forget court for the moment and concentrate on claiming your deposit and going through the scheme's arbitration process.
What address for your landlord is given on the tenancy agreement under the heading "for the serving of notices"?0 -
I am extremely sorry for my stupidity in not checking the tenancy agreement properly, under the service of notices there is indeed an address for the landlord.0

I have found out if i want to go to the court i cant raise a dispute with TDS, i cant do both, is that right?

Yes you can raise a dispute and still go to court. If you accept their offer of mediation/ arbitration however you cannot. I did this online and after the dispute was rejected there was a link to accept their dispute service resolution. I didn't click the link, simply resubmitted my dispute and in the meantime sent the letter before action.0

I should clarify my last post (it was 3 years ago so memory is hazy) - I did click the link but did not then go ahead with the resolution service (there was a choice after some more information on timescales and legalities). Not using the resolution service didn't prevent me from re-submitting another claim for the deposit. I've sent you a private message now which should explain things further.0

The Tds decision has come back and the LL got around £1000 for his claims, we only got £500 back

Sorry to hear this, I had an unfair deposit deduction decision also, so feel your pain.
Please can you give us more details?
