Hi
In October 2013 I moved my Gas to Npower where I have my Electricity and Fixed until Dec 2017. (As per this site and weekly news letter this was a good move !!!). We are now into week 19!! and many calls to the help line. (Each call telling me it's in hand and will be sorted soon). I have had final bill then cancelled then a new one now they have been reversed. They closed my original electric account and moved it to my new Gas account. They failed to add the rate fix to my electric until last week (week 18).
I now have a closed Electric account that is almost £400 pound in credit. No payment set to cover my electric(2 months not paid) usage at this time.
I have been following Martin on TV etc for a long time preaching about Duel Fuel and how easy it is to move. I finally plucked up the courage to do it and now wish I had left things alone.
This is by no means the full story just the main outline!
Is this typical of Npower or have I been unlucky?

Typical of npower. Write to your MP about your experience and ask for Parliament to investigate. It's either cynical exploitation or gross incompetence.0

It does seem that nPower are the present champions when it comes to useless incompetence, with Scottish Power not all that far behindNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

To add to your misery, dual fuel is no longer the cheapest way to get your utilities. You'll almost certainly find cheaper rates if you are prepared to have a separate contract for each.
