- Put CD's into DJ bags and throw out CD cases to free up storage space (any ideas what I could do with 500 empty CD cases???)
I would try freecycle people can use them for CD/DVDs/Roms. If you don't want to do that then chuck them in the plastic recycling bin next time you are passing.
Well you could see some of the hall floor before the school run! Half the kitchen is still there due to kitchen floor still drying out  (it's going to take several weeks to totally dry out). Kids got in and dumped coats etc ut will only take a couple of mins to sort.
Was going to take flowers to DH, called at the supermarket and picked up a few other bits, refuelled the car and put it through the car wash and dropped off the plastic recycling. By the time we had done that it was pi$$ing it down so we shall go to DH tomorrow after I have collected the gang.
Right coffee gone, choc eaten (well I need something to keep me going til 8pm  ) let's go do a bit more.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Hiya
Well, i'm glad I got on top of the washing after last week as DD came home from school holiday and there's at least two loads in there all covered in thick mud. On the plus side.....she's had a ball and that's probably nothing compared to pigpen's household (the quantity not the mud! - then again!)! One load in and don't know where i'll dry it as all the clothes dryers are full, the radiators are covered even though the heating isn't on and I have no where left to dry stuff! Ho hum!January budget

Pigpen - I am in awe of you. You face that pile of clean laundry and do not flinch! And you manage to feed/clothe 10! Good luck with the washing line.
Mind you, I am not posting a pic of my pile of ironing because (a) it's biggerand (b) it's weeks of stuff. Some of the stuff in my pile has been sitting there for literally years because I never want to wear/iron it.
I feel an attack of flinging coming on.
Part of my problem is that all my clothes used to be in DS's room before it was DS's room. When we did DS's room, furniture got shoved everywhere and my clothes were supposed to migrate to go with DH's. I did get an extra (inexpensive) wardrobe. I just haven't sorted out getting my clothes in/out of the new storage and they are now distributed all over the place! Oh, and at the same time we started moving furniture around because the windows got done, I was poorly & pregnant and all I could do was watch Nightmare before Christmas. I just wish I could have a steady go at stuff.
Still no Diet Coke, and really feeling it today. Still, on Friday I can start with my nice teabags
So far today:
Emptied dehumidifiers
Had proper breakfast & drank tea
Had visitors
Hoovered living room (not that it looks clean lol)
Washed up
Washing
Bottles
Fed, changed and cuddled DS
Ordered stuff for DH & vacuum bags
Some ironing (like a drop in the ocean)
Tried to persuade DS to eat (that way out today) and sleep.
Kitchen floor token effort but better than nothing
Started tea.
Sigh. Between Diet Coke DTs and the weather, I suppose it is something.
Off for some more ironing.

Hev, i'll post you a picture that'll make you feel better about your own pile. Can't believe i'm doing this. It's like a baptism of fire!0

BUT, before I completely shame myself, i'll show you an after.
I'm so sad I take before and after photo's of my disaster areas (which are many!!)0 -
Ooooh Jackieb, I like that thing you've hung your clothes on. What is it and where does it come from. We hang stuff from doors then can't get into rooms. Ok, i'm excited by this which is very very very sad! xx
Edited to ask: has it only got the two arms you can see or has it got four arms?January budget

Right. Bedroom done and bedding washed but now what am I meant to do with it
guess I will dig the airer out and pop it on there. Forecast is good for tomorrow so keeping fingers crossed.
This afternoon I have made a batch of pork burgers for the freezer, sorted out a bag for the charity collection on Saturday. Starting doing list of jobs for DH on Saturday, which will be done as kids staying at his mums overnight so if he wants to make the most of the peace and quiet he had better keep me happy;).
As hubby working late tonight we had tea early so littles about to get dumped in bath and then they want toenails painting (bit of a ladies night), then a couple of games of bowling on the wii - such a good laugh:j , kids are better than me though:rotfl: .
Sshh, had fab ice-cream after tea, was lush.
Pigpen, that washing pile is  to say the least. Earlier when I was doing my batch cooking for the freezer I realised that what I do for batch cooking you must have to do for one meal    .0 -

It has 3 arms. It's called a Hangaway. http://www.hangaway.co.uk/products/default.asp I think they're about £20 and it's pretty sturdy. My sister bought a cheaper one from Argos and it collapsed. :oCan't remember where I got it from though - had it for years.
And sad as it is, this is the kind of thing that I get excited about too! You should see my collection of laundry baskets. I have 13! I know because my dad went round the house counting them.0
