have ironed all todays line-dried washing bar two items that needed a bit longer. DD is at work and has requested chicken pie. Given I have chicken and half a pack of pastry in the freezer I am making pie. I am cooking off-piste though (ie guessing) so we'll see.

    Huge huge hugs to Mumto5.

At last - a day when I actually have something to show for my efforts!

The permanent notices for the church notice board are ready for the churchwarden's approval; the photos are also ready, except for three which need to be re-taken tomorrow if we're not going to frighten newcomers

I have spent the afternoon in the front garden and it now looks considerably different. Sorted out the rubbish with DH and sent him to the tip while I carried on dealing with plants. He came back and helped for about an hour (with a scowl on his face the whole time) as we moved bricks from the rubble heap and built a stand for the water butt, then collected up the soil which the Garden Gang should not have put on the rubble heap and put it back around a shrub which now looks much happier for not being in a deep hole! At this point DH claimed that he needed to go and sit down. (He didn't start doing anything - apart from making porridge - until 10.30 this morning and I had been working at the computer since 7.30, so I was not best pleased. He is unbelievably unfit and unable to push himself to do things.)

I carried on for 2 more hours with next-door's cat for company:
    - weeded the flowerbed under the garage window
    - levelled the soil we'd moved earlier
    - re-planted clumps of grape hyacinths which the GG had thoughtfully dug up but not-so-thoughtfully left lying on the surface
    - removed 9-inch depth of sand with which the GG had filled in the new 3'x1' flowerbeds under the kitchen and DR windows, and chucked it on the rubble heap
    - pruned some wayward shrubs
    - generally tidied up and swept.
It looks soooooo much better and I can begin filling the spaces again with some of my new plants.

I have cooked tea and we have eaten. DH is washing up, and I have [STRIKE]told him[/STRIKE] accepted his generous offer that he will do the hoovering between 8 and 9 am tomorrow - we have friends and their 2 children coming to lunch. This evening I will write a list of what needs to be prepared - we are having my speciality dessert "make up your own meringue with fruit and ice cream" :rotfl: - but I think I shall set my alarm and do most of the preparation first thing in the morning.

Hope everyone has a pleasant evening. I think I shall sleep well tonight....zzz....

    Evening all

Ionafan you have done great, I feel your frustrtion with your DH, mine has changed the pedal on his push bike today and remade DS2's bed as he is no well.

    I have
Stripped 2 beds and washed the bedding
    Hoovered out my car
Wiped all the inside of the car
Cleaned out the pigfedder water trough in the garden
Done an hour tidying part of the front garden
Swept the soil off the driveway where DH drives on the grass
    Got the washing in
    Done the ironing

There seems an imbalance there but can't be doing with nagging todaay.

Here's a cautionary tale especially for MMM:

When we lived at our old house, DH had a heavy duty shelving unit like this in the garage (except he never kept a spare wheel on them!). Before we moved, DH dismantled them. That was last June.

When we were sorting out the utility and garage recently, DH found the shelves, but we hunted high and low for the uprights. By this afternoon, we were thinking that we must have accidentally thrown out the uprights on one of our many tip trips before we moved, so DH took the shelves to the tip. I could have found a use for them in the back porch :(

    That was at 2.00 pm.

At about 3.00 I fetched one of the plastic water butts which have been standing in the back yard ever since we moved, to set it up in by the downpipe in the front garden. As I lifted it, something rattled inside.

You can probably guess what I found when I removed the lid.... :rotfl:

Now DH will have to make another trip to the tip with the uprights

    Hi all

CY Happy birthday to a fellow March baby
mumto5 Big hugs - hope you have a support network in RL to provide you some physical support as well as the emotional support from us flyladies

Today's flying started after the paid stuff this morning

Grass cut for the first time this year
    Lawn edge re-cut
    WM x 3
    2 loads hung out
1 load hung on indoor line
    DW emptied
    Bed stripped
    BR dusted
    HHI x 2
    Ironed clothes put away
    Pizza dough made in BM
    HM pizzas made
    Bath & sink cleaned
    Kitchen S&S'd
    Washing up done

Feeling pretty tired now! A bit emotional too, as today 4 years ago OH was taken into hospital (his family didn't think to let me know  ) and he never came out. A weird time for me at the moment as I'm finally dealing with my emotions over his passing (well I'm trying too).

    Anyone seen Honeybear?

Now off for a soak in the tub

    Deco x

Thanks ladies. Your support means more than you will ever know.

I've collected a poorly DD1 from babysitting for my friend down the road. She is talking to the white phone in the bathroom. Hope it is just the seafood she had with her BF tonight or I am in for a challenging week.

I've swept floors and tidied kitchens today. I've uploaded all the cd's into iTunes today as I've got to connect my phone to the computer. I'll lose most of my tunes as they are on the s0ny laptop that we have lost the password to. ...Ces't la vie. My life is changing so I'm losing things that I love. My insides are being ripped out by those that I love- what's a few tunes?
