Unlocking Vodafone Phone

Hi there
I wonder if any one can help. Got myself a new phone with Vodafone on contract and gave my old phone to hubby. My old phone is an LG GM360 VIEWTY SNAP phone. This phone was also on Vodafone contract Sim only. Bought my husband the Ovivo deal for him to use in my old phone and switched my Sim into my new phone with new contract in place for Sim. Husband ended up buying unlock code for my old phone but cant get it to unlock phone! Tried to phone Vodafone but it just refers you to website. Dont really want to pay £19.99 to get it unlocked at shop any advice would be welcome. . Will check back later. Thank You

Does not Ovivo use Vodafone? If so, I don't think an unlock is required on a Vodafone locked handset.

Vodafone contract phones are not locked.

Not had a locked one since my Motorola V635. And that was a long time ago.

If it was a SIM only deal did he buy the phone as a separate transaction? SO probably unlocked anyway?

I think that's false, I had a Vodafone iPhone 4S on contract. It was locked.

The only locked contract phone supplied by Vodafone is the iPhone (but they will normally unlock foc for contract customers in good standing).
