been feeling abit down recently......went to see the doctor but same old same old.......waste of time.

    Hiya everyone,

Hope you're all OK - woohoo, new thread.

Westclok - hope it goes OK with the job

Ilovegreatdanes - hope your head feels better soon - was the medical for a job? good luck and I hope it goes well for you.

Andipandi - yayy on the lottery win, don't spend it all at once :p

Daisy doughnut - enjoy your film and hope OH makes you a good meal - roversbloke is getting us a curry. its his birthday so he chooses.

Carpy - I found citalopram made me worse. I went to the docs complaining of feeling tired all the time and he diagnosed me with moderate depression and gave me citalopram. After a week I was more tired than ever and started to have sucidal thoughts  (sorry!)

Hello and hugs to everyone I've missed :D

Am more tired than ever. Had a kip this afternoon and feel like I've not slept a wink. I wish I knew what was causing this - if its the tiredness that causes the depression or if its depression thats making me so tired.

Arghhhhhh - I just want to be me again!

I don't know - but I thought anything discussed with a doc was confidential.

I spent today painting skirting boards! And door frames, and other such things. We found some really delightful wallpaper with strawberries on, and it was hung upside down. I will try and get photos, as it was completely crazy.

Yesterday, we had the gas man round and he found a gas leak. Today, we had an electrician round, and he found that if we turned a certain switch on (luckily we hadn't touched it!) we would have blown the place up.

    ok, heres my problem!

Say for example I thought I maybe depressed, and decided to visit the doctors, it would be on my record what was discussed??

Say I was to split up with OH and he wanted custody, and he knew about my visits to the doctors, would it be bought up about what I discussed with the doctor maybe about me being a bit unstable and doing things that are not the norm?

So it would go against me, possibly not having full custody of my kids?

Sorry to be so vague. Was going to put a false name but thought you might think I am a troll.

Hi Michaela,Everything discussed with your doctor is confidential,it may be on record but i don't think people can get access to them just for a custody case, not sure of the law it is a shame Tiff is not around as she knows a lot about the system. The only thing i know for sure is you can demand to see your own records.I would suggest you visit a solicitor who will know the law in this case if you are worried.Saying that depression should not effect a cutody hearing anyway it is an illness like any other unless it is so bad it effects the way you care for your kids.Sorry i cannot be of more help

:hello: Hi again, oooh new thread!

Think I need to go back on AD's but scared the Dr will think I'm stupid for trying to stop them in the first place. My Drs' practice isn't the best since my family Dr died. Don't know what to do

Don't worry about what a doctor thinks. He's there to help you. He's a professional and shouldn't make you feel stupid. I know sometimes I feel stupid but that's because I was stupid and not because the doc made me feel stupid. I hope that makes sense.

Go on, go back if you feel you need help, ;)
