Unhappy marriage I want out

Why is nearly everyone fixating on just the alcoholic part? Its likely an escape as mentioned here. I know when I was very unhappy in a relationship I drank heavily, like every day and mostly vodka, but I can easily not drink as well. However I was very aware it could be addictive, perhaps I just lucky.
However, its just a symptom in this case and likely means you are both very unhappy. life is too short, have that discussion, see if you both actually want to spend the rest of your life together, if you do, work out a plan, if you don't...then discuss how to manage the breakup in the best possible way. Maybe start by time apart, don't jump into a relationship (I did that) just have time alone/with sprog/friends to get back in touch with you (same for your partner) then re-evaluate if you have anything worth saving.
Good luck!0 -
Good point above, and remember that many people have wasted years sticking to failed relationships for ulterior reasons. Then realised they are too old and entrapped to change their lives.:coffee:0
