Can I password protect Google Docs?

Thank you all!
I was hoping to be able to put a password on a particular document so that I could still view it / modify it on different devices?
Google Drive is ALL cloud-based. When you save a file to your google drive, it is private by default, but you can log into your google drive on any other device (another PC, android phone, etc) via https://drive.google.com/ and edit the document.
If you want other people to edit it, you can allow them edit permission. If you want other people to always see the latest version of a document you can allow view permission. This can be done either to their google accounts or by a 'secret link'.0
