credit score - nd to add maiden name?

When I applied for my experian credit report I did so in my married name - never occurred to me at the time to add my maiden name. I've only bn married 9 months.

On the basis of this, my credit report is good. I have got a small overdraft from my bank just before xmas.

We have put an offer in on a really nice house, and have a morgage on principle from the bank.

Do I risk rocking the boat by adding my maiden name to the experian credit check? There's no county court judgements, bankruptcy or anything big. But there are a few missed payments from my student days. I don't want to risk this morgage if my score goes lower, but suspect the bank will look for my maiden name too?

When the bank do the hard pull and final checks. Any adverse will show if it's on there.

You did give your previous name to the mortgage app right? Plus changed your name in bank accounts, etc?

If so they'll see it all anyway as you'll have aliases.

So it will all be one file by now. By not including full information in your application for a credit file report. It has just effected what you see, not the banks. So I'd rectify it before anyone suspects you're deliberately giving misleading information.

The lenders will be likely to check any information in your maiden name when they perform a credit check.
