Any story? Somebody scanned it delivered

The buyer said it came on Friday but he'd been away all weekend. Spanish postal service says it was delivered but Royal Mail apparently still have it ready for shipping. No signature available.

    Whew!

Asked yesterday for buyer to tell PayPal to release the funds but still waiting. I don't want to offend the buyer by escalating the Case but could do with my money. Shall I message on PayPal? And what to say? Or shall I message via eBay? As they got the item last Friday I think they are a bit slow in getting the payment released, but as they haven't yet given feedback I'm not keen on antagonising them.

Shall I just be patient or push it?
  • Far more likely that they are hoping that PAYPAL will refund their payment and that they get to keep the LP.....

You need to tell eBay/PAYPAL that the item is delivered and in the hads of the buyer.
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.
  • RM do not get the signature for receipt of the item when posted using ISF. I had a thorough exchange with RM a few years ago, after posting many items using ISF, and RM basically wash their hands of the whole thing and state that the signature collection is in the hands of the receiving postal authority.

This does make sense but is annoying as they still have the option to view the delivery details but they never get further than "left the country".
Makes you wonder why they just do not say:

"OK - it's out of our hands now, we have NO IDEA where it now is...."

instead of that farce about "ready for shipping".
    And breathe.....

OK, thanks. Not quite sure how I would tell eBay but as PayPal have the funds I will message them/the buyer - it's not clear exactly who the message is to but can obviously be read by PP and buyer.

Interesting. I'd anticipated what would be the answer if RM denied responsibility. Without going into the T&Cs it seems that legally RM must show a signature in order to prove delivery. Without the evidence there is no proof of the service being performed as described and so full compensation should follow.

Did you lose out in the end?

I sent this through PayPal which I hope will encourage them:

'On 4 March the buyer sent the following message via eBay:

'Sorry, because i'm stay away all the weekend.
The vinyil arrive at home on friday, no problem mate.
    Thank you for all,'

As the item has been received the withheld payment is now due.'

No reply still after 24 hours since my last message so I sent this a few hours ago:

'The held payment is now overdue and should be paid immediately to prevent the case being escalated by the seller.'

I think if by tomorrow the payment isn't taken off hold I will escalate it - but I don't like the way PP says they will find in favour of the buyer if you fail to respond with additional information. Shouldn't be a problem but still seems harsh if say you threw away the postage receipt after the buyer said they received the item then PP asks for it.

Sent PP copy of message from buyer + Proof of delivery (Correos) and this, which I hope will get things moving a bit faster, though I doubt it will:

'The dispute was about Item Not Received. Item Not Received can no longer be the case as the buyer acknowledged receipt of the item. Therefore PayPal should take the payment off Hold and release it to me immediately. This Dispute cannot be considered to be unresolved as the buyer has resolved it by stating that they have the item, and so PayPal should require no more response from the buyer other than that already given.

I am very disappointed at how quick the payment was stopped and how long it is taking to be released. Can you please look into this so as to see that my money is now well overdue to be paid. The buyer got the item a week ago and that's a long time - to be kept waiting longer is unfair and unnecessary.'
