equifax cancellation

Just tried to cancel my equifax membership during the free trial. They will cancel but it will take immediate effect, so you won't get your full 30 days free. So, don't waste money calling them at premium rates until you are ready to lose access to your account.

Thats what I did, as I almost forgot to cancel.
I requested immediate cancellation of my account at 7am on the last day, and received an email about 9am telling me account was cancelled.

Cutting it close. They do now provide 0800 numbers to call when you want to cancel. Took me two seconds last time I did it.

Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.
