I've had a Hotmail account since 2000. At the time, I also had a Yahoo account which I linked the Hotmail account to. The Yahoo address has since expired. Hotmail has now done something funny with my account, and as I've had to change my back-up email address, Hotmail is now telling me I have to wait 30 days! Is there any way around this, and does anyone have any email address to contact Hotmail from?
Boris Johnson voted against Brexit in the Commons, all to become leader of the Conservative Party. Fall for it and you deserve everything you get.

Hotmail is a free service, so people cannot expect to be able to access individual help for hotmail accounts whenever it suits them - there may be a generic help request still available via email (definitely not instant response though) or FAQs online somewhere.
Gmail is a better option and a better service and also free. If you want faster customer service for an email account issues, then register a domain with an ISP of your choice and have a dedicated email address with a customer service team.0 -
I've been having messages when I signed in for a few days now, they were about the security updating process which they said would become compulsory to comply with in 5 days time so I did it tonight. My old security was a phone number I no longer have and which I could not change, so I had to create another email account especially, to be able to give them that instead. The verifying process takes 30 days apparently with no access to account during that time.. Quite a nuisance as I use email a lot to socialise and did not keep a contact address list outside of the account. I did not realise it was going to freeze the whole email function for 30 days, I thought it just related to accessing my background account information. Apparently they have been rolling this out since Spring 2013 (my surname is a W so maybe I am one of the last groups!) Good luck with solving your access, I guess I will just have to sit it out and wait. Serve them right if I get so used to the alternate email that I don't go back to them! I pay an annual subscription for enhanced features, wonder if they will refund me a month's worth?“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0

Why don't you try using a mail program like Outlook to import the emails from the locked account? It's worth a try.0
