Changing mobile contract - confused

I'm paying £15 a month just now on a contract from Orange, but there appears to be some cheaper offers going around.
I want to stay with Orange however, so is there anything I need to watch out for if I order something from the likes of dialaphone, phones4u or any other place? I just wondered if Orange will kick up a stink about me already being a customer with them?
There's about a month left on my current contract - do I have to do anything to cancel it or will it just terminate once 12 months is up?
Any advice gretly appreciated

Usually give them 30 days notice. There are no restrictions on buying from Orange through a different retailer - several people us have more than one contract with a network.
There's a raft of exceptional cashback deals through Orange around at the minute - Samsung D500, Nokia 6230 @£4.99 with 200xnet minutes thrown in, Nokia 3120 with 100/200 xnet minutes effectively free. The websites are Carphonewarehouse, E2Save & Onestopphoneshop with several others also giving the deal on the 3120. Possibly worth your while to take the plunge a month early on the contract.0
