The single nail polish I just bought on e-bay is rather tame by your standards:rotfl::rotfl: Whose polishes have you been buying? nosy moi? surely not:D
I have another use up to declare from my recent Project Pan after my shower earlier - Oil of Ulay Moisturising Body Wash sachet 10ml. This was a recently discovered ancient stash relic, I had to chuckle when I noticed it had a best before date of June 1999!! :rotfl: It was nothing special but did the job.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -

Face wash: 7
Make up remover: 3

Toner: 2
Face mask: 3
Conditioner: 18
2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner: 2
Shampoo: 12
Hair mask: 9
I make that 105 things of mine that need using up this year + various butters, creams and other such stuff
I'm going to my mums Tuesday to do her bathroom and get things in order for her too so thank you group for motivating us xx
UUs for this week:
John Frieda full body shampoo - WNBA - I loved this shampoo and it left my hair soft and bouncy however, i have super frizzy hair and prefer it straight so it's no good for me
John Frieda strengthen and restore Conditioner - WBA - my hair is over bleached, under conditions and breaks easily but this made it feel much stronger and really soft
2x perfume samples
YSL forever youth liberator serum - WNBA - i don't understand serums, i found them too much like a primer mixed with a toner and this wasn't any different, it left my skin tight and dry.0 -
Kadison, is it bad that you're comment has made me feel better! Tbf if you divide the 120 by 37 then the price per polish is tiny (this is how I make myself feel better haha! xxx
How bad is it that I did this just before reading your comment? :rotfl: (£3.24 btw)The single nail polish I just bought on e-bay is rather tame by your standards:rotfl::rotfl: Whose polishes have you been buying? nosy moi? surely not:D
*Ahem* Nails Incbeen away for a couple of days break this week so have just spent the last half hour catching up with the thread.
All this talk of SPF has got me thinking, I always wear moisturiser with at least SPF15 all year round, although maybe in the summer if it's very sunny might put a higher amount on.
Should I actually be looking at something with a higher factor?
I'm amazed at the number of moisturisers on sale with out any SPF in it.
SPF day creams are generally meant to protect only against incidental sun exposure, as they're day creams first and SPFs second so are good for the winter etc. Putting on more won't give you more protection as it doesn't increase the factor or the overall protection.
Really in the summer you want to be using a proper facial sunscreen, so the ones you find in the sun section not the skincare section, as these are SPFs first and day creams second. Personally I switch mine over at the beginning of May and the end of September.
If you are happy with SPF15, fine, but make sure it gives proper SPF15 protection during the summer and not just incidental protection, hth.
There's a great guide here to which factor to use in which part of the world, and for which skin type....

Keep in mind also, that SPF protects against UVB (sunburn) and the star rating is for UVA (Skin ageing), so pay attention to both. I use star rating 5 on my face and minimum 3 on my body xNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Some ladies on here are being very naughty - keep your money in your pocket you don't need anymore stuff.
I have uu
L'occitane Shea Conditioner - 75ml, WNBA, it smelt gorgeous but wasn't moisturising enough for my hair.
Miverna Green Tea Exfoliating gel - WNBA, this is a weird exfoliating gel which balls up on the skin, it broke me out I think.
and the longest of all LHJ's is done - Botanics Body Butter - 450ml, this is a massive pot and I used pretty much all of it as foot cream so you can imagine how long it has gone on for. I couldn't use it as a body butter as it left me so sticky things stuck to me.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Couple of UU's this morning.
Burt's Bees foot cream mini tube. Horrible stuff, glad to get rid of it, WDNBA! Smells nice but the texture is wrong, far too greasy.
Nip + Fab cherry body butter 50ml. Got a few of these stashed and can get through one in less than a week easily so should be a few more UU's on the way. Love N+F but WNBA as, while they don't test their end products on animals, I suspect they test or have ingredients tested by other companies.
Also this week UU a couple more sachets of serums and moisturisers.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. My son is at his first Beavers overnight camp tonight so I'll probably spend the majority of mine wondering what he's doing and whether he's ok until I finish work tomorrow!Never say never0 -
My first UU of the month has been a LHJ languishing on the PP list for several months Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Face Wash 250ml WDNBA I would far rather have washed my face with supermarket brand washing up liquid than this stuff; hence it was repurposed for anything but face washing. I'm sure they'll be pleased to know it came in quite handy for general cleaning and best of all for doing the cat litter tray. :eek:Mortgage

Very behind after an awful week of a close bereavement and a horrible situation going on at work prior to that (and still looming once I go back).
:(:( Come to catch up for a bit of normality and friendliness. This is so much more than a toiletries thread.
Have some UU and IN to declare, will do that once I've caught up xx

Not sure about other Debenhams stores, might be worth ringing your local. Manchester had a few random bits all wrapped in cellophane and rafia...left over Christmas pressies perhaps? But they had like a full shelf of the verbena bath foam!
Sounds like a one-off and Christmas leftovers indeed. I love the smell of that stuff and it's hell of a bargain, but I don't have baths very often at all, so it seems like a waste, unless I were to repurpose it as shower gel (surely the only difference is the amount of lather?!), but I don't need to go round thinking like that as I have enough other stuff to use up.Thanks for the info, though!

3 small outs Loccitane hand creams 10ml each, in cherry blossom, almond and shea. For some reason the shea seems a great deal more moisturising, does anyone else find this.
Also, completely off topic, but I just finished a book, The Rosie Project, and it was completely addictive. Made me actually laugh out loud, and cry, and it was just lovely! Picked it up in Asda for £3.50 and would really recommend it! xxxNo buying toiletries 2015 - 1 in
