I went into town yesterday and picked up my Body Shop birthday gift, I got a Peppermint foot lotion and a Chocomania shower gel, both 60ml sizes one was £3 and the other £2, when I got to the till she said they are 3 for 2 and with my 10% off came under £5 so the till wouldn't do the birthday gift. I added in a giant bath lilly and ended up paying 40p cash. Not sure I got it all right but I find their deals confusing as you don't know about them till you get to the blooming till.

Anyway I added the lilly because I just didn't want another shower gel or body lotion, I have so many it will take me years to use them, I am going to let DD take the chocolate shower gel on her residential next month.

Birthday today but no toiletry ins at all - :jon one hand :( on the other hand.

    Belated Birthday greetings Dolly. xx
I wandered into lush yesterday to get one final touch for my sisters birthday present. I picked up a tub of Mint Julips lip scrub for myself. I was intrigued by this, but have to say, I was a little bit disappointed to get home and realise I've spent £5.50 on around 2tbsp of sugar in jojoba oil with mint flavouring! But on the other hand, I have a nice little tub to use if I choose to make my own afterwards...

I had this product on the go for so/too long. Be careful as it dries out quite quickly.

    Another UU yesterday:-

LE C&P 100ml. I did end up double cleansing to use it up however my skin really needed it cos I had the hangover from hell yesterday. Didn't roll out of bed until gone 1.00pm so didn't make it back into Manchester yesterday either.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

UU #45: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation 30ml; WDBA, I love this stuff. Covers everything you could ever expect a foundation to cover, gorgeous texture, lasts and lasts. I was matched to the shade 'cool bone' and it was perfect. Once I am less poor (pfft) I will definitely repurchase.

TA #7: 17 Ultimate Volume Lipgloss; WNBA, I got this in a set which Boots were selling off for £1.50 and included this, a liquid eyeliner and a maybe a nail polish? I forget, but I remember that all the proceeds from the sale went to Macmillan :) It's gone gloopy, so in the bin it goes.

My Collection concealer is spluttering and as I am hormonal I don't want to go to Boots for a replacement as I'll definitely end up buying things I don't need, so I have dusted off my MAC pro longwear concealer for a change. Conbined with the ELDW I feel flawless on the outside, even if I look rough as a badger's bum under it all :rotfl:

I haven't tried the regular double wear but have the double wear light and that is gorgeous and the coverage is still good. Estee Lauder Invisible Foundation is really lovely too, I am using my second bottle at the moment and it is water based and much like the Chanel Aqua something or other, the coverage is light so best on good skin days or with a good concealer but it is completely invisible on the skin.

Completely OT, I'm going to post a separate thread but figured you lovely lot will probably be more helpful... any recommendations for blotting papers?

It's for my wedding day so happy to shell out if the results are worth it. I don't usually bother but it's going to be such a long day (my make-up is being done at 9am) and my t-zone is prone to oil/shine so want to do everything I can to look my best!

    Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for the info :) When I feel my skin isn't looking too shabby, I tend to use MAC Face & Body, it's great for the summer when I have a little bit of colour and although it's sheer its very buildable so I can add coverage to the places that need it most. Today, I would probably have had to dip my face in a vat of it 20 times to get it looking half decent :p The regular DW is definitely full coverage but it doesn't feel cakey or heavy with it. Having a big *sigh* now it's gone.

VALM, how was Jack? Hope your hangover hasn't rolled over into day two ;)

I haven't tried them myself but have read good things about the e.l.f. ones. And I think Bourjois might do them too?

I tend to use a little more stay matte powder on any shiny spots and if I feel I'm getting a bit too dusty(!) I have a quick spritz of MAC Fix+ which takes away that overly powdered finish.

    Sorry for the triple post!

UU #46: Paco Rabanne Black XS EDT 50ml; WDBA, I didn't even know this was spluttering! Quite a heavy, heady scent but I really like it. I will ask for more for my birthday I think, plenty other stashed smells to see me through until then.

Thanks FizzWhizz. Want to avoid topping up powder as don't want to look caked and/or tone down my blush etc. Plus it's a bit of a faff, whereas papers are a very quick fix, and knowing my luck I'd end up getting it on my dress! Also want to keep baggage to a minimum as it's all going in my lovely mum's handbag! :D

I used to use papers years ago but never found any that wowed me. Hoping to find some of the non-powder ones IYKWIM, i.e. I want ones that absorb oil/shine but don't leave a powder residue.

Many apologies all, I have been AWOL! I have exams boooo! I hope everyone is well & thank you Babafette for starting us off this month! I will try to drop in, but it may be fairly intermittent until mid April!

An update - I've been keeping to the one year no buy challenge. No Ins and not feeling too tempted which surprises me! I've realised how long it takes to finish a product - my 500ml shampoo still running strong despite washing my hair everyday.
A couple of non bought in's from a friend who came to stay and left me some toiletries as she was overweight on her luggage:
    1. Garnier Moisture Match Dry to Very Dry - can't quite make up my mind on this, it seemed quite nice at first but now I don't really feel like it's really moisturising my face, and it is very very fragranced. Will use it up pre gym though!
    2. Shower gel - think it was Neom, finished it this morning! WBA

Going to catch up on the thread now xxx
