    Happy birthday Dolly :bdaycake:

Finally managed to shift an item on the PP list - Dirty Worx body oil spray. WNEBA! Ended up almost hating this stuff. Took ages to dry in.

Also tried Benefit Oxygen Wow Foundation Sample which didn't offer any coverage at all. Will use the small pot ot came in for my own foundation for my minibreak this week. I am off to Edinburgh :-)

Give Edinburgh a big wave from me! We got married there last year (in sunny Leith) and my sister lives there too. Such a beautiful city, I really love it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the sun shines for you :)

Is it 3 for 2 mix and match across make up, hair care, skincare etc. at Boots at the moment? When I went in the other day I thought it was only within product type i.e. 3 for 2 across all haircare, 3 for 2 across all make up etc.

Yes, it must be, although I didn't realise until I got to the till - I havn't used one of the No. 7 vouchers for such a long time and I really like the foaming cleanser so was getting one of those, I just happened to need foundation and hairspray too and it was the lady that said - I thought the same, that it was like for like products in the 3 for 2! Its a good deal.

Three UU this wknd and no IN so progress!

Lush Snow Fairy - WBA - love that I can use this in the morning in the shower and the bathroom still smells of peardrops when I get home from work!

Boots Fresh! heartshaped soap - WNBA - looked pretty and at one time I'd have left it unused for that reason but now I know better! :A Wasn't that special

S&G Face, Soap & Clarity - WNBA - I'd happily use this again if gifted or in a set but there's nothing standout about it for me

UU #44: Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream 50ml; WNBA, this has been out of rotation for a few months but I picked it up again after my PCMC ran out. Not a big fan of the eucalyptussy smell, sometes bobbled with certain serums or foundations and most importantly, nowhere near as hydrating as the name suggests -- I actually have a dry, flaky patch in my forehead this morning. Will rummage for a replacement from my stash in a minute.

I am so very tired this morning! Planning on rushing through my "to dos" today so I can have a mini pamper this afternoon :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes you lovely lot.

I have had a fab weekend, not doing anything special really just enjoying the weather with my lovely family.

I have ins from a birthday present

2 x SO! gift sets, I can't recall which they were but I gave the two perfumes to DD and the lip balm which came in the set and I kept the two mini body lotions and a shower gel. DD has to be careful what she uses or she could have had those too. More her type of scent than mine I think.

    and uu

L'occitane Peony Shower Cream - 75ml, I used this as bubble bath because it was such hard work to squeeze out of the bottle in the shower - WNBA for that reason and the price.

Clinique Take the Day off - 100ml - WBA

Avon Silly Spiced Apple bath and shower gel - WMBA, this was used by the kids, not a huge amount of scent to it though.

  • Hi everyone, hope you all had lovely weekends enjoying the rare sunshine!

    Two UU.

    1. Volumising conditioner I was sent to test. Grateful for this actually as I mixed some of my conditioner based dye with this as I wanted a lighter colour, and I would rather do that with a freebie product than one I paid for!

    2. La Roche Posay Anthelios XL 50+ SPF. This the the dry touch one and THANK GOD IT HAS GONE!!!! I hated this stuff with a passion! It was thick, left white smudges everywhere, peeled and balled up over everything. It wasn't even a physical sunscreen too! I've moved on to a kiss my face one now and it is sooooo much nicer!
    No more goo hoarding!

UU #45: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation 30ml; WDBA, I love this stuff. Covers everything you could ever expect a foundation to cover, gorgeous texture, lasts and lasts. I was matched to the shade 'cool bone' and it was perfect. Once I am less poor (pfft) I will definitely repurchase.

TA #7: 17 Ultimate Volume Lipgloss; WNBA, I got this in a set which Boots were selling off for £1.50 and included this, a liquid eyeliner and a maybe a nail polish? I forget, but I remember that all the proceeds from the sale went to Macmillan :) It's gone gloopy, so in the bin it goes.

My Collection concealer is spluttering and as I am hormonal I don't want to go to Boots for a replacement as I'll definitely end up buying things I don't need, so I have dusted off my MAC pro longwear concealer for a change. Conbined with the ELDW I feel flawless on the outside, even if I look rough as a badger's bum under it all :rotfl:

Just been catching up on the thread after a weekend of wedding planning!

dolly - belated birthday wishes, I hope you had a wonderful day.

fiasco - enjoy your mini break, I love Edinburgh.

    I have UUs from yesterday:

    46. No7 Beautiful Skin Radiance Exfoliator 15ml - WMBA, did the job though I prefer my scrubbier Sanctuary one (of which I have LOTS still to use, so will not be repurchasing for at least a year! :o)

    47. FCUK Pure Showerscrub 75ml - WNBA though this was long-ago discontinued anyway. Very scrubby and smelled gorgeous but it was also very runny, menaung that I used the full tube in one shower (and there's not really very much of me to scrub!) so poor VFM. One left in the stash.

And a few splutterers so hopefully more UUs this week after a very slow start to March!

Completely OT, I'm going to post a separate thread but figured you lovely lot will probably be more helpful... any recommendations for blotting papers?

It's for my wedding day so happy to shell out if the results are worth it. I don't usually bother but it's going to be such a long day (my make-up is being done at 9am) and my t-zone is prone to oil/shine so want to do everything I can to look my best!

    Thanks in advance :)
