No buying unnecessary toiletries March 2014

Looks like I'm just as susceptible to the "bargains" of others as I am seriously tempted by this :rotfl: Will have a good read of the T&Cs when I get home from work, it's not working on my phone.
Love the amazon wish list idea too. Thankyou!
Looks like a good selection, but just to mention that a lot of the girls on here don't rate the Beauticology range, if you already use it and like their stuff it might be worth a punt, but many think the packaging is great, but the product does not deliver. HTH

You are doing well, I have been here for a similar time (although I lurked and sort of joined in for quite a few months before plucking up the courage to post:rotfl:)
VALM
I have transferred some of the Monoi melt into a 30ml LE Superskin pot and carry it in my handbag or pop it on bedside table, it is great for my cuticles and dry patches on my fingers. (Still have quite a lot left in the large bottle and 2 small ones though)

Thanks for the heads up on the Urban Retreat offer, I have managed to resist, so perhaps I am on the road to recovery:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Don't think this came in a paper bag. It was a gift set and came in a box with the popcorn packaging.
Ditto girlybags. Asked for moisturiser as my skin doesn't like scrubs.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

) I've just started using it and I'm underwhelmed at the moment. I'd heard great things about this range but it's just not living up to expectations. It doesn't seem to smell of anything much.
I also like 'layering' products, as in using shower gel, body lotion and perfume from the same range. It's not possible with all items but it does partly account for the reason that my stash is so large.
I saw what you did there with the pun. Very good (though maybe don't give up the day job :rotfl:). My daughter Emma went through a spell of loving Gok stuff but like you I'm underwhelmed. The Rose Oil body wash I'm using at the moment doesn't particularly smell of much and the body scrub is so watery it's hard to apply. The body butter that I've used (the Argan one in the green packaging) smelt vile too. I think I still have a body wash left in my stash and I'm planning to decant it and use it has hand wash.
I like layering too and try to stick to fragrances of a similar family ie floral, fruity or sweet.Catriona

I seem to have been here for ever without a chance of graduation. Never mind. I feel like I couldn't leave you all now.
Thanks for the fab tip re: the Frangipani. I have a little pot in my bathroom cabinet that I could put some of this into. Will try to remember to do this when my Burts Bees Hand Salve is UU. Must say that my hands were supersoft by the time I got to work today.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Finally a meaningful use up!!! :j
The 250ml bottle of shampoo I was sent to test at the beginning of last year has gone this morning. From the shape of the bottle I think it was a WELLA System Professional shampoo but I can't be sure. It was nothing special but it did the job. Unfortunately I still have another one of these in the stash together with the two matching conditioners. This is what happens when you belong to lots of consumer testing panels! :rotfl:
I am also currently testing the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electric Foot File for another panel, so after my shower I gave my feet some TLC and deep moisturisation.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
Do you know if i can just cancel the direct debit after the £3 has come out? the t&cs say min subscription is 12 months so i'm not sure?
I have done this before with a £1 sub to Glamour mag. The freebie was a set from The Body Shop and I cancelled the DD when the money had been taken from my account. I got the freebie and the mags with no problems. The freebie did take a while to arrive and was a nice surprise as I'd forgotten all about it!Never say never0 -

I'm not really a fan of B&H myself but for £3 I thought it was worth it.Never say never0 -

I don't have a day job at the moment, sadly. At least not a paid one. The outcome to the applications I've put in recently has been 'close but no cigar'.
I was in Sainsburys before and spent a lot of time looking at the toiletries. I don't need anything and luckily I didn't buy anything but I don't seem to be able to ignore a toiletry aisle!3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
