Would you recommend TalkTalk mobile?

I'm a TalkTalk phone & fibre customer of 2 months and just seen they've a superb mobile offer on.

£3.50 for 6mths - 500 mins, unlimited sms and 1gig a data
After 6mths the price goes up to £7.50

I'm with giffgaff and pay £7.50 a mth for 200 mins, unlimited sms and 250mb data.

|'d appreciate some feedback on TalkTalk mobile before I opt for a 12mth contract.

Thank you
Richard

  • Just joined and so far very good with Vodafone coverage and very pleasant call centres . Also a long term customer of 3 mobile and had no complaints at all but will compare services as time goes on running two contracts . Quidco tracked
£ 20 same day and don't forget voicemail , calls to your landline and other Talktalk mobiles are not charged for . Early days but impressed so far .
  • My family have two contract phones and a sim only contract with Talk Talk. Been with them for a year and not had a problem. They have some good offers on the cheaper handsets and sim only deals. Factor in the quidco if it pays out It works out a good deal.
  • Thanks for coming back to me.

Just spotted this and that seems a good deal - so cheap. Will have to have a look as I'm currently paying £20.50 with vodaphone on a sim deal so if Talk Talk is vodaphone linked that looks a lot cheaper so might look into buying a 12 month sim deal with them, thanks.

I have had 3 numbers on talkmobile in the north west and they were fine.
Using their website they were responsive when I needed to change to a micro sim and made it work well at no charge. You will get help at CPW shops if you tell them their head office sent you to them otherwise you might get fobbed off.
They are poor at showing you your online usage by line detail. If you go over your allowances expect to pay heavily.

Your message is referring to Carphone Warehouse's 'TalkMobile'. The OP was asking about 'TalkTalk Mobile'. Although the names may be similar they are two completely different products offered by two different companies.

That's a mistake I made thinking TalkTalk were still part of CPW which put me off for some years . 3 mobiles retention department didn't help by suggesting that CPW still own TalkTalk although alls well that ends well because their executive office very kindly sent a free home signal box to boost my 3 signal indoors in return for a 12 month contract on my cheapo sim only , also waived the early cancellation fee on the other 3 mobile contract now rocking it on TalkTalk .

Talk Talk Mobile aren't bad. But I've heard some stories of poor customer service and their inability to sort out billing issues.

I guess if nothing goes wrong then you're good. But if there is an issue on your account then expect it to be quite a hassle to deal with.

That's so true. They've messed up both bills I've had since moving from aol to them. This is now sorted (I hope)
