Buyer on ebay - wrong address

As there is NO verification a good seller SHOULD do this. Ultimately it is the sellers responsibility to get the item to the buyer. Have you read the address problem thread on the PS board?
I sell more than you, and I DO validate every single address! I use RMDMO and it's done as it prints the label.
There is no way I would send 5, 50 or 500 a day without it.
If you are sending that volume (50), then it will be in your interest to switch your OBA to DMO.
I buy stamps from a dealer, which is cheaper than using an OBA.
I can only get my items to the buyer if they give my the correct address to post to. I've won a case for INR when the buyer admitted they gave an old address (which your system doesn't legislate for anyway).
It's farcical that a company the size of ebay permits incorrect addresses to be supplied from buyer to seller.0 -

50 items a day is a lot of stamps. Whatever suits your business model. I don't use OBA so my prices aren't comparative and are cheaper than OBA.
My system DOES legislate, I don't get your point there?I can only get my items to the buyer if they give my the correct address to post to. I've won a case for INR when the buyer admitted they gave an old address (which your system doesn't legislate for anyway).
If the address is incorrect, you report it to eBay and within 48 hours they are NARUd if they don't correct it. If I post to the address and it is valid, then I am covered. At a loss as to what you think "my system" doesn't legislate for. It's farcical that a company the size of ebay permits incorrect addresses to be supplied from buyer to seller.
I agree but they are a long time off remedying that. If you read the thread on the PSboard you will see.0 -

When I post something via RM, normally my proof of purchase has the postcode on it and says validated with an N?
OP have you googled the address to see it on maps/streetview?
Update from who?0 -

Why should RM pay out?
Or do you think they should?
It isn't RM's fault the OP used an non existent address is it?
People assume if the address is in Paypal then that's all they have to do.....
I see what you mean now. Thanks.
I feel for the OP. I don't check all my addresses, I just assume the buyer knows their own address!
If the address the buyer sent the item to doesn't exist, why hasn't the parcel been returned to sender? They may have delivered it to their best guess.
The fact is if you send to an address not on the PAF database, then it isn't covered.
As for assuming people would know their own address. Crazy talk

You would be surprised, a lot of buyers haven't a clue....high street, London......yeah right.
Likewise unless the seller has a returns address it will end up in Belfast, only if it has something inside with an address on might it go back.....sellers and buyers, they are as bad as one another.0 -

It won't pick up on a buyer using an old address, if the address they give you is a valid address. That was my point, with reference to the case I won where the buyer admitted they didn't change their old address in PayPal.0 -

That may well be, but you said "my system" didn't legislate. It does. If the address is valid, whether it is correct, old or aunty Bessie's, then I will win an INR.0 -
