Lovefilm By Post probs since migrating to Amaxon

As a Lovefilm (by post and streaming) customer I was furious to find that all this had changed without any prior warning and that episodes which had been free of charge within my subscription are now to be charged at £1.89 per episode, in addition to the streaming subscription cost.
No email from Amazon - they just changed it.
Items within my Watchlist now either cost £1.89 per episode to watch or are greyed out stating unavailable "due to licencing", yet I picked them in the last couple of weeks when they were available.
If you use the search facility to try to find a programme to stream, it takes you to the "buy the box set for £XX" page.
There are an awful lot of very angry people - Amazon has managed to upset both their Lovefilm members and their Prime delivery members in one action. Just search "love film change to amazon prime !"
It isn't clear to me whether I'm now a member of Prime too now?
There is also a lot of confusion about Amazon Prime Instant Video and Amazon Instant Video - one or other of them gives you x days in which to watch whatever you've "bought".
Lots of people are cancelling their membership in disgust - I'm tempted to do the same or at least to cancel the streaming membership. (Perhaps it is best to wait a couple of days to see whether these problems are temporary glitches, or for real?)
Either way, I hope that whoever sanctioned this going out without sufficient testing or clarification is given the boot !0 -
I was not previously a LoveFilm customer - signed up to Prime a few days ago mainly for the video streaming. The day before yesterday I looked through what they had on offer and put 33 films and TV series on my watch list. Just now I checked again and the watch list had shrunk by nearly 25%. Some had simply vanished and some that were supposedly free on Prime less than 48 hours ago they now want to charge for. Ridiculous!
I understand they have to get the rights for streaming and renew them etc, but you would think a company as big and powerful as Amazon would at least be prepared with all its ducks in a row before making a massive change like this.
Not very impressed!0 -

Second, if you want to search for a title, and add them best to use the app, not the website as it comes up with the titles to buy, not to rent. The website when it was a standalone was much better
Thirdly, yesterday I sent back the final disc to a box set. There are no titles of this TV series on my lists, including subsequent seasons. Guess what the next disc they are sending me? Yep the same disc as the one I posted yesterday! I guessing it will be the exact disc as the serial number on the disc, the last four numbers are the same as a friend's birthday.
It was the exact disc that I posted on Wednesday I received yesterday based on the serial number. As mentioned the last four numbers are my friend's birthday
Fourthly, I cannot speak to anyone at Lovefilm by Post and the call centre rep I spoke to forwarded my details to them for me to get an email back within 24 hours.
Still no reply
Fifthly, I had some TV box sets which I set as high priority and they went back to normal during the migration.
When does migration ever work? I remember in 2004, when I was with O2, I was billed with 3.5 months of calls in a single month and that got sorted out in the end as inbetween, I was only charged for the package.
Updates in red
There are some kids TV titles which cost £1.89 an episode and they are 10 mins each. I bet its cheaper to watch movies in the red lights of Amsterdam in those video booths....;)
The whole point of me going to LF in the first place as I have purchased DVDs which I have watched only once. Video/DVD rental shops only do rentals to films. Plus saves me money. The only DVD boxsets I have purchases when Zavvi was in admin and in CEX.
Amazon, please can put Lovefilm back to how it was? You have just annoyed, angered and confused customers with this.
Beforehand, the only issues I had were five damaged discs in 2 years and in end Jan, they sent me a disc which was not on any of my lists. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
