Barclaycard Registration -Online Banking An Impossibility!!!!

Hi everyone

Has anybody out there with a Barclaycard Credit Card having/or had a serious problem registering for Online Banking in order to keep track of their credit card transactions etc?????

I have tried COUNTLESS times, phoning them, without any success and so resorted to contacting The Financial Ombudsman, which was also a waste of time!!! Although Barclaycard acknowledged our complaint to them and The Financial Ombudsman, nothing changed, we went round and round in circles when ringing them again as they requested us to do.

Please Please is there anybody in the same situation?? if so can you help in any way with any suggestions at all. I am close to breaking point!!!!!!!

I am considering writing to Valerie Soranno Keating Barclaycard's CEO in London. telling her about all of this.

I've recently taken out a Barclaycard 0% CC and had no trouble whatsoever registering for online banking.

It is taking forever for my balance transfer to go through though, it's been three or four days and it's still showing as a pending transaction. Anyone have any idea how long it normally takes for a balance transfer to go through?

I have had a Barclaycard since Egg was no more - I have had no bother in signing up or accessing the website.

Thanks for your reply. Would you tell me what server you used? ie Internet Explorer? Google Chrome? ....
I have entered my online ID number, my password etc but with NO joy whatsoever. I have rang them numerous times and my last call to them they gave me new details to try, and yes you've guessed it, it DIDN'T work!!! They didn't want to loose me as I am a good customer so they have given me 12 months 0% interest and a sweetener of twenty pounds credit. I can't get online to see if they have actually given me this 20 pounds, hmm sigh sigh...... Would you take me through it how you log in step by step successfully please? thanks in advance.

Hi thanks for replying, can you tell me what search engine you used ie Internet Explorer, Google Chrome? etc...
My Online ID DOES NOT work, even using new details they give me over the phone, DO NOT work either.

Can you let me know step by step how you successfully log in for this Online Banking? Thanks in advance

I don't bank with Barclays but I do have a Barclaycard. I use both online services and the iPhone app to manage the account - both of which were simple to set up with no issues.

The term you are looking for is "Web Browser".

A "server" is the computer to which your computer connects - ie it is the one operated by Barclays.

A "search engine" is a web site that enables you to find web pages - ie Google etc. It has nothing at all to do with Barclays.

For reference, I use Firefox.

Yes. I type in my details and I log in.

Have you done something silly like got caps-lock left on? Or, if on a laptop, num-lock left on?

I don't bank with Barclays either, but like you I have a Barclaycard, I don't have an iphone but are unable to register for online banking on my laptop. I keep getting "System Error" therefore don't get any further forward, even after threatening them over the phone that I will cancel the agreement altogether. They gave me some info again over the phone to try and register again, I tried it and all I got was, (yes you've guessed it) "system error". Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Hi again, thanks for your reply and correcting me, I either use Google Chrome or Internet Explorer as Web Browsers. I have rang them recently telling them yet again that I simply cannot register for online banking. After speaking to them I tried again to register on my laptop using my online ID number and failed yet again as all I got on the screen was "System Error" why is there a problem for heaven sake? I am doing everything by the book and caps lock is'nt on whenever I attempt to log in. I have lost the will to live!!!!!! can you suggest anything please??? I have lost count how many times I have rang them, therefore not ringing them again.
