I 've had four years of hell with this Company whose Customers Services are particiularly poor and consistently fail to respond in an adequate manner.
My advice from bitter experience is don't touch them with a barge pole.
The other alternative is to lock into a 2 to 3 year deal - not damn likely with their service track record.
Even as I speak Online Graph data in not operational as Matelot Dave has noticed - I've reported this to them last year and still they have done nothng. And as for trying to get through on the phone - the phone wait is shocking. Try the alternative of going through their on line complaint service and the replies often leave you bewildered.
Watch out for their price hike on the 1st April- you have been warned!! As for me I'm voting my feet after all why stick with their new one year term or alternatively lock your self into another 2-3 years of hassle, when you can get a far better deal elsewhere.
Suggest you all head on over to OVO to have a look my first impressions of OVO's Companies Service is extremely promising.0 -
My 88 years old father has been with F-U since April 2012, receives a paper bill and paid his bill monthly by cheque (yes by cheque) every month until June 2013. Missed out on a discount because of paying by cheque, but that was his choice.
Then requested to change over to pay monthly IN FULL by Direct Debit.
It took them 3 attempts to get the DD set up during which arrears built up, but eventually they got it right, collected the arrears, and now collect the bill in full each month.
The tariff he is on is less than the one currently offered to new customers. I'm just going to let it continue.0 -
I must be the only customer who hasn't had a bad experience with FU. I switched from npower at the start of Dec. The switch went smoothly, my DD was set up correctly and once the account was live, I was able to submit readings both via the link in the reminder email and also via my online account. i've also had a bill generated successfully and my usage graph works. I may be the exception rather than the rule, but I'm happy to say from my own personal experience that they are no worse than any of the others (and I've been with most of them at some point).0

I'm sure they aren't significantly worse than the others, it's just frustrating that they can't get their act together - I am more than willing to give them the info they request, it's just that their system won't accept it.
I'm now with them until April 2015 and even if I don't get a bill in all that time and assuming they don't start mucking about with my direct debits I estimate they'll owe me about £20 when it finishes.
A sum I'll happily forego to save me any hassle if they haven't sorted themselves out by then.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
