Does it only happen on your browser, or does it also happen when you are playing videos etc?
And if it's just the browser, have you got another one installed that you can try? Firefox or Chrome.0 -
Just the browser , don't play videos
What I'm trying to determine is if it's just happening in the browser window, or is it affecting the whole screen.
Is it the scrolling that's gone wrong?
Try opening Windows Explorer in a folder with a lot of files, and see if scrolling is OK there.0 -
Try changing the refresh rate for your display properties.0

Hi Guys , seems the problem is when I use a browser on the internet , screen is fine when doing anything else
had a look at the refresh rate which is set at 40KHZ (?)
As an example of the problem , when I log on to MSE , or lurk , when I place the pointer at say "Forums " it clicks through to the page then when I start scrolling that's when it starts jumping up & down , I click a forum post link and it go`s to the section then when I use the scroll again , off it go`s again with the upsie/downsies ):

(edit: cheapest way is to rule out the cable first, try same rig with different cable from graphics/mobo, to your screen input, change the cable keep all else the same)

Did you try scrolling in Windows Explorer?
It might just be the scrolling on your mouse misbehaving.
Have you another mouse you could try?
40Hz seems a rather low refresh rate to me? About 60Hz is more usual.0 -
Still no joy ): Tried the Acer help link and it came back with this below ............
Click on the mouse icon at the bottom right corner > Mouse Properties > Tapping >Tick “Tap off when typing” > Adjust “Delay after last key is hit” to a moderate delay
Anybody translate this into something we can understand please ?

That's just telling you to adjust the mouse properties.
You could try that, but I think it's more likely to be a hardware problem with your mouse, if it just started happening.
I had a look in my mouse properties in Control panel, and there's nothing about "tapping" in there. Unless it's an Acer thing?0 -
Simple way to test ... forget the mouse wheel and click the up or down arrows on the vertical scroll bar to make the browser scroll. If this is OK then it's your mouse; if it still flickers then it's to do with your graphics.0
