Hi not sure if this is the right place to post or not? but I was wondering if any of you peeps had or have knowledge of using one of these . My hubby purchased and fitted CM927 to run with Modena 80 E Ferroli boiler..we are having problems controling the heat with this. When the boiler is switched on and running and we have set the target temp to say 19 degrees and the room temp is showing at 22.5 or more it does not switch off and heat is on continuously. My daughter also has one of these and she has hers set @ 10 degrees for the target temp because she is out at work all day and then when she returns home at night she will up the temp on the control pad and straight away the boiler will kick in . We are sure hubby has conected it correctly because we do get green light on relay box and have done a test and it appears to be working. We have someone comming to look at it on Monday who is a qualifed Honeywell installer but he was unable to give us a price untill he has looked at it ...was hoping it is something simple that we can rectify ourselves before then . We can however still use heating. Have looked on honeywells site but got no answers and we have even tried ringing them but gave up after being kept waiting in que for over 20 mins
Any help on how to programme the unit would be great .Thanks

Might sound obvious, but you have set the switch to 'auto' once you've finished programming it, haven't you?0

yep tried both auto and man settings ...0 -
Thanks but I have these already and we have followed them.0 -
My daughter who has the same unit has also tried to set it for us but it appears that the signal is not getting to the boiler to change temp via hand set ...heating comes on but it stays on constantly at same temp ...maybe it is a faulty programmer? Signal is going to the relay box fine because the green light is showing on that .0

To state the obvious, if the boiler is not responding to the 'stat calling for heat, either in manual or auto mode, and the wireless connection is established (which is presumably what the green light on the relay box confirms), then either the 'stat is faulty and the signal is not reaching the relay box, or the relay box is faulty, or the relay box is not correctly connected to the boiler.
You'll need an RGI who can handle the electrical side of things (relatively few can), or a sparky who is familiar with CH controls.
But have you worked through the troubleshooting guide in the user manual first? Are the batteries installed correctly? Does the LCD display the existing temp? If not, what symbol is displayed?
Does it fail to shut off in both auto and manual mode?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Yes we have worked through trouble shooting guide and double checked everything ...The LCD display is quoting current temp and yes it fails to shut off in both man and auto modes. Hubby is going to check that the wiring has not come loose during installation ? this afternoon sometime and if everything is fine there.. then we will have to leave it to the experts.0 -
Yummy mummy,
Just spoken to a clooeague who was having the same issue as you earlier this week. New installation wiht the same controller.
Turns out she hadn't realised that the temperature needs to be changed to a low number for the times you DON'T want heating.
e.g. time 1 = 6.30am (this is the time you want the heat to come on to your desired temp setting).
time 2 = 8.00am (you don't tell the heating to go off at this point, you tell it you want a lower temp -- mine is set for 12 deg for this period)
time 3 = 4.00pm (this is the time you want heat to come back on to your desired temp setting)
time 4 = 6.00pm (same as time 2)
Repeat until all your preferred times are sorted.
That should ensure that the boiler goes 'off' when you aren't demanding heat. If it still isn't working after that then yes you probably have a fault (perhaps in the installation) and may need to get the fitter back out.1 -
