buyer wanting item for free!

I sold a girls Nike jumper. Unwanted gift. Didn't have tags but brand new.
Buyer received it and now says it's worn etc. It definately wasn't.
Anyhow I offered a partial refund on the item. She agreed. I said i will knock off half price on the item so buyer messages saying that no would rather have refund.
Basically buyer wants the item for free otherwise a full refund.
Do I have to give refund when I know for a fact item didn't have a single mark on it?

If it was me I'd ask to return for a full refund or part refund and keep it. There's lots of ifs and other possible issues but if you use Ebay regularly it's easier to sort it out quickly without arguing to and fro.I sold a girls Nike jumper. Unwanted gift. Didn't have tags but brand new.

Sounds like they are just trying it on to get a freebie.I would message her and say....Im sorry you are unhappy with the jumper, please return it to me for a full refund. Also remember you don't have to refund any return postage ...oh and then makesure you put her on your blockedbidders list.0

Ask them to open a case, and select "return for full refund".0

I agree, be ultra polite and apologise she is unhappy- tell her to open a case and on safe return you will give a full refund. Do nothing else, don't be daft and follow advice to be rude to the buyer, it achieves nothing other than poor feedback and a slap on the wrist from ebay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Never do a partial refund as it makes it look like you are liable for something. Ask them to post it back to you for a full refund. Do not refund until you receive the item back and in good condition. Be polite but stand your ground, you don't need to refund anything until you get the jumper back and eBay will agree with this. Make sure it does go through as an official cancellation on eBay too so you get your fees refunded.0

What If the item isn't sent back in same condition I sent it?0
