What would you fill a 128gb card with as you can no longer store apps on them if you have the latest updates of android ?

I don't know either but I used to think my PC hard drive with 200 MB was large enough. Give it a few years and this will be standard. Personally I'm happy with cloud storage.

Now all that is needed is an Android device that is capable of taking and using that card.

A bit reminiscent of the graphics card/ game wars of years gone by where they produced a game to use graphics capabilities that would not be available in cards for 6-9 months

I had always thought that Internal storage was for apps and the memory card was for data (photos, music, video files, documents , app data files etc) - things you want on removable media.

I know that some people who had low amount of internal storage do like to move apps to memory cards.

A better complaint would be , why do some apps insist on keeping all their data on the handset?

sharp910sh - you're in for a long wait my friend! Are you still waiting for Apple to fit BD drives to their laptops too? Some manufacturers are still using external storage, some aren't.
