CC debt from 2003 is haunting me forever

Send Bryan Carter a CCA request, if he's the one writing to you about the account. Or send to Lowell, it makes no difference. My Egg loan one was enforceable, as in the contents are correct. They might not have yours at all, in which case it 100% won't be.
This should come with a statement of account.
Best to also request a statement showing of what the outstanding balance comprises of. This is a reasonable request under OFT debt collection guidelines. If they refuse, complain, then refer to FOS and report them to OFT.:beer:0 -
Also worth mentioning that if you had an Egg Loan that far back, you will probably be entitled to claim back PPI on it via Canada Square Operations, and this could be helpful extra cash to offset anythign you might owe. Definitely worth checking into if you can get them to send you a copy of your loan agreement...Original Total: £34200.78 / Current Total: £24017.00 (July 2017) -29.88%!

HI everyone -thanks for the input! Sorry for all the typo's in the letter I copied, obviously I am not that great at not looking at the keys! OK - so I'll have a look though the threads just now but if anyone is still online able to assist...what is a CCA? I thought that was the letter I just sent?0

Consumer credit agreement.
Did you send the prove it letter from here?
CCA costs £1 and gets you a copy of the alleged agreement and a statement if account. On pre April 2007 accounts, if they don't have the signed original then they can't get a CCJ if defended.:beer:0 -
Yes I used the prove it letter from this site so just need to know which one is the cca please0

Thanks for the link! Will get this out tomorrow. I suppose I'll send one to Lowell as Bryan Carter has suggested and maybe I should send a copy or some sort of notice I'm doing so to Bryan carter??0

Hello everyone. I
sent the CCA letter out on 15 March with proof of posting to both Lowell and a copy to Bryan Carter. In my letter I added one sentence - 'please send me a breakdown of the account including any intererest or charges'.
Bryan Carter sent a response thanking me for letting them know and that they will place the acount on hold until they 'hear from their client'. I have not heard back since and have not heard anything from Lowell. I sent a postal order for 1 gbp to Lowell.
What are my next steps? Will Lowell send me some information either way? Should they send my postal order back if they choose not to 'reply'?
I am prepared for anything at this point but I do feel much calmer knowing that I am doing things step by step with everyone's help. Thanks!!0 -
Sorry - I'm shamelessly bumping my thread...I just want to make sure I get things right...and don't want to miss any deadlines. Hoping someone can assist me today, thanks.
I'm not sure if I should send Lowell another letter to make sure they recd the first one or if I should leave it. I think I remember reading on one post that I should now contact the likes of Experian, etc and tell them that I have not heard from Lowell? Please let me know. Need to get this one tackled and then start working on the Old Barclays debt, which I am pretty sure they have still
Hope everyone is having a great morning! Finally light enough to walk the dogs before heading to work and felt great!0
