Yep. A double weekend. FC beat Mickleover 0 -  4 to go second and United beat City. Sweet!

The new HTB Buyer's Guide is out for next year and you'll all be pleased to hear both applicants have to be true FTBs and if married both partners have to be joint purchaser/mortgagor regardless of credit etc. No sole applications  allowed for married couples.

What's the quick way to get from here to HBR&S and back again?. I'm tired of having to go back to forum home, then Mortgages & Homes then HBR&S. Same with Insurance & Life Assurance?

A bit of good news today.

Halifax in for 95% on newbuild houses and flats from tomorrow. Planning for the end of the HTB scheme.

Apparently they've now decided newbuild flats will remain at 85% max LTV and only SO newbuild flats will be upto 95%.

I wish people would stop using the expression "mortgage offer" instead of "mortgage product."

The mortgage offer is the formal notice of acceptance of a mortgage application and people reading "mortgage offers withdrawn" particularly in the media is fuelling panic.

We've been seeing mortgage product withdrawals for months now as rates have increased and even after hundreds of withdrawals in the last few days, there are still over 3,500 products available.
