Amazon has just done this for me on a mattress I got delivered just over a week ago.

It dropped in price by just under £30, I contacted them Tuesday via their chat and refund in the bank today.

Very happy and did not expect it but thought I'd ask anyway.

Of course it may be the large order you placed that has actually triggered the discount offer? It makes sense to target offers to those people who've shown they're happy to order from you.

Nope. The offer was also advertised on their Facebook page so it was available to all.

I tried my best to think of some other bits I might conceivably need from their extensive range but I just couldn't think of anything.

No doubt that will change now that the offer has finished!
