Companies shooting themselves in the foot via email

national Geographic were one of the worst I came across. I foolishly took out a subscription (never again) and started getting almost daily emails . I unsubscribed and they started sending me mail through the post. In the end I just returned it all to sender and it did stop for a while.

Then when my subscription stopped they started the emails again with offers to resubscribe, even Un subscribing only stopped them for a while. They have now started with mail again, so I am back to returning it all to sender.

Never ever subscribe to National Geographic.
