Sky Bet Ticket giveaway (need your thoughts)

SkyBet were pretty hot on the rules for the xmas giveaway...
Personally I think it's a bit unfair if they are a definite away supporter, although it's maybe hard to prove anything.
True it would be difficult to prove they are an away supporter, but if you look through their tweets and see that they consist of retweets concerning the away team would that not be evidence of them being an away supporter.Posting is a privilege, not a right. My instinct is to live and let live & do as you would be done by!
I would tell the company if I thought someone had intentionally broken the rules or the company wasn't following their own rules but that don't seem to have happened here.
I wouldn't take advantage of complaining about rules not being followed. For example I complained that a winner hadn't used the required hash tag. The company admitted they'd not followed their own rules and offered to send me a gift. I didn't complain to get something (I turned them down) and I didn't want the winner to have the prize taken away from them. How it was run annoyed me, the various tweets had different hash tags and only the first said it must be used. I wanted the naive company to realise they'd messed up and not to do it again. I liked the company and didn't want a PR disaster if it kept happening!
I think I did the right thing. I didn't benefit at all. I did it for the right reasons.
You're asking if they'll redraw so it sounds like you hope to win. Chances are you wont. Think about your motives. How would you feel if they took it off the winner but didn't redraw so it was just wasted? Would you still complain if you couldn't win if they did redraw?
I ask if the company would do a redraw because of the home fans who missed out on winning a ticket. I think the company should check the twitter accounts of the entrants and if they consist of retweets concerning the away team surely that would be a sign they are an away supporter?Posting is a privilege, not a right. Thank you all for your thoughts, on this occasion I will not inform the company, usually the terms & conditions on football ticket competitions do state for home fans only, or something along those lines. Personally I think they should make sure home supporters come out as winners, I would like to know if and how they go about checking this rather than asking the winner.Posting is a privilege, not a right. The whole idea of trying to win football tickets is because I, or anyone else entering, can not afford the cost of a ticket. It would be a shame on the home fans who could not afford to go to the game lost out to an away fan winning a pair of tickets.Posting is a privilege, not a right. This is a privately-owned site. ^ Yep if it's that obvious.
I did have a brief nose last night but didn't see which one it was.0 -

I was having a look at the winners twitter profiles and it looks like at least 1 of the winners is an away supporter. The terms & conditions specifically state that the tickets are for home supporters/fans. Is it worth pointing out to Sky Bet that it looks like they have picked a winner who is an away fan? If so do you think Sky Bet would pick another winner?
Hi Comping Rich
You asked for opinions and here is mine. Hope it doesn't offend. xx
I would let it be. Don't worry yourself contacting them. If you entered as a (home) fan, I'm sorry you didn't win. But hard up (opposition) fans probably did enter. Believe me it is not fun sitting in the oppositions stands (watching your team being slaughtered!) but you at least get to see the game.
Tickets to games are so ridiculously expensive I really don't blame anyone entering footie comps, opposition or not.

If you would like a company to trawl prospective winners timelines before awarding prizes, imagine how many of us compers would probably get disqualified on account of us being serial RT'rs of comps for anything and everything. Not something I would want to encourage.0

I think one of these is an away fan - https://twitter.com/SkyBetFL/status/438345053358919680?screen_name=SkyBetFL

Another clue would be whether or not they follow the official twitter feed of the home club, if they follow the away clubs twitter account, would you think they are an away supporter?Posting is a privilege, not a right.
