I was having a look at the winners twitter profiles and it looks like at least 1 of the winners is an away supporter. The terms & conditions specifically state that the tickets are for home supporters/fans. Is it worth pointing out to Sky Bet that it looks like they have picked a winner who is an away fan? If so do you think Sky Bet would pick another winner?

I think if you were to 'shop' this winner, you'd need to ask yourself why you were doing so... If it's in the hope that they'll draw another winner and it might be you, that's probably the wrong reason.
I have regularly been to matches where away fans have ended up in the home end - whenever I've experienced that, they've stayed quiet and not tried to cause trouble. If it was say 10 tickets meaning ten away fans in the home end, I would be more inclined to worry that something might happen.
I'd say if you feel strongly, let them know - he is, after all, breaking the Ts and Cs (which he may not have even read), and hopefully if you do they will pick a new winner. What does it say about transferring the ticket? If Sky Bet call him on it, he may just say he's giving the ticket to a home supporter...0 -
i would say yes for 2 reasons.
1- Public safety, he could be a football hooligan wanting to cause trouble in the home crowd.
2- Technically against the rules really and i report anything 'suspicious' and let the company decide.
VPStill comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -
I'd do nothing
I've sat in an away end many a time
He may of already bought a train ticket / booked time off work etc
But if you feel you are doing this for all the 'right' reasons then do it....

T&C say "tickets are for the home side". Does this mean away or neutral fans are banned? I think it is just saying you will be sat in the home section.0 -
If it's home side, surely that's just sitting that end. Doesn't state you need to be a home supporter, imagine if they want to go but couldn't get tickets, just sitting the other end might be alright for them.
As another side-argument.December Wins: £300 worth of board games, £500 Tesco Vouchers Best Win in 2023: £500 Tesco Vouchers0 -
I would defo do nothing. I've sat with away supporters before - was very scary the first time, and was a complete accident
I swapped tickets so that my brother could sit with his kids to watch a cup final at Wembley. Only when we took our seats did we realise we'd switched sides -:eek::eek: But it was fine and friendly, even though we were wearing 'colours'.
Also, it may not be as clear cut as you think. For example, I have tried to win tickets to see Hull play, even though they're not my team. But if we'd won the tickets, we would've gone and genuinely supported them. I now live too far to go to see my team play very often. So we kind've support local teams too - as long as they're not playing against my team, that is.
I think the chances are slim that they are trouble makers, and if they are - well, let it be on their conscience.

SkyBet were pretty hot on the rules for the xmas giveaway...
Personally I think it's a bit unfair if they are a definite away supporter, although it's maybe hard to prove anything.0 -
There no restriction on supporting any teamThis Promotion is open to those who are 18 years of age or older
just the Prize is in the home end and subject to whatever rules the club sets, so wearing a full set of away kit might end up with admission being refused. Please Note - tickets are for the home side....
k. The Home Club reserves the right to refuse you admission to or eject you from a ground for behaviour likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance, or annoyance or for failure to comply with the Club Conditions, the Ground Regulations, these Promotion Conditions and/or the reasonable requests of the Home Club or for reasons of public safety0 -
I'd rather pay for a ticket than become a clype in an attempt to get one free.0

My instinct is to live and let live & do as you would be done by!
I would tell the company if I thought someone had intentionally broken the rules or the company wasn't following their own rules but that don't seem to have happened here.
I wouldn't take advantage of complaining about rules not being followed. For example I complained that a winner hadn't used the required hash tag. The company admitted they'd not followed their own rules and offered to send me a gift. I didn't complain to get something (I turned them down) and I didn't want the winner to have the prize taken away from them. How it was run annoyed me, the various tweets had different hash tags and only the first said it must be used. I wanted the naive company to realise they'd messed up and not to do it again. I liked the company and didn't want a PR disaster if it kept happening!
I think I did the right thing. I didn't benefit at all. I did it for the right reasons.
You're asking if they'll redraw so it sounds like you hope to win. Chances are you wont. Think about your motives. How would you feel if they took it off the winner but didn't redraw so it was just wasted? Would you still complain if you couldn't win if they did redraw? Thanks to the members that post competitions, especially the regulars :A0
