Absolutely appalling Amazon. I cannot believe they have taken Love Film, which was splendid and had a great many good movies to watch for your £5.99 a month and have created something utterly useless, like a re-runs channel!
It is a total debacle, you have to pay for all the “good” or new movies and it’s not even consistent. One minute you have to pay for certain episodes in a series and the next you don’t. You never know whether you can watch your favourite show or if you will have to choose, between paying through the nose, or waiting for a service you pay for to “let” you watch your episode for free; at some random point.0 -
I feel a bit ripped off by LoveFilm and Amazon. I paid for 6months LoveFilm on their special Cyber Monday Deals at the end of November and now I have to sign up for a "free" Prime trial for 30 days! That means that I will not receive the full 6 months that I thought I was getting in November31.5/1000

I have just cancelled the 30 day free trial, because I won't be in the country when it becomes payable. Don't want to find out they don't accept a login from the Far East and end up paying £49.
Can't stream overseas, anyway.
Nobody mention P_oxy server please, the kiddie !!!!!! police is probably making a list of everyone who use it.0 -
I was a very happy LoveFilm customer, but Amazon have managed to remove the joy out of the package, by integrating it so fully with the rest of Amazon (but in a sub-standard way). I'll see if I get used to it, if not I'll just switch to Cinema Paradiso, less DVDs for the same cost and no on-line streaming by the looks of things, but 100% movies with no unwanted Amazon distractions.
Amazon are really shooting themselves in the foot at the moment, what with screwing up LoveFilm, and the removal of the free delivery options for Amazon books under £10. I purchased a book via eBay the other day as it cost 30p less than Amazon. It arrived the very next day....from Amazon! Very strange that they should be selling books more cheaply via eBay, perhaps they are just running a test to see if customers are absconding as a result of the changes by comparing purchaser email addresses.0 -

It probably wasn't amazon themselves selling on eBay. It will be a third party sell that is just using Amazon fulfilment.0 -
Amazon have ruined Lovefilm. I have signed up to Netflix. I'll keep taking Lovefilm by post if they keep offering it until they make me switch to Cinema Paradiso, but the abomination which is Prime Video has no place in my life.0

If you build it, they will come.
Some one in Amazon must have thought, if you deliver it for free, they will shop. Well, shopaholics with itchy fingers, possibly.
Kevin Costner has a lot to answer for.
Prime Video Instant seems to operate on the principle that If you lay on lame freebie shows no one wants to watch, they will pay to watch the premium shows. If you have a captive audience with no other choice, yes. This assumes that signing up to Prime will transport me to a captive Amazon universe, where everything is supplied by Amazon. OCP from Robocop was originally Amazon?0 -
Lovefilm dvd rental servuce has got a lot worse since the change. DVDs are taking up to 5 days to come and thats if they arrive at all. I've had to report 2 lost in the last month that have never arrived. When I send discs back they take them off my dispatched list but take 2 days sometimes to allocate me another one despite having a list of nearly 100 titles.
Had a look at cinema paradiso this morning but it would cost me double what I'm paying now.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500 -
Amazon seem to think everyone's got fast, unlimited broadband. I live in an area where BT's local loop monopoly limits me to an typical 550 kb/s download speed on my landline, and sometimes it drops as low as 30 kb/s. I could theoretically use Prime Video Instant with the good 3G signal in the area, but it'd then quickly use up my mobile data allowance. So the video streaming service is unusable to me.
When I complained they extended my current Prime subscription by 3 months, but don't seem to grasp that there's no way I'm going to renew it if I'm expected to pay an extra £30 for a service I can't use.0 -
