More than one Barclaycard

Options
I currently have the Barclaycard Initial (with APR of 17.9%), does anyone know if I can apply (officially) for a platinum?

It's just let me on website, asked me to enter passcode and memorable info, then gave me the five day message?

  • I had a barclaycard gold with a balance on it and applied and was accepted for a platinum. I did it as a new application rather than applying through the existing account.

I closed the gold account not long after.
  • How did you manage to get 17.9% on an Initial?

    I have two Barclaycards.

One was an old Egg card and I recently got the platinum card.

Yes you can, I have 2 - The cash back and reward cards. I even called up Barclaycard up last week and he even said I could apply for another to get %0 on balance transfer.

    So officially, yes you can.
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

If you've had it for a while and moan about the interest rate they'll usually lower it, I had 18.9% on mine.

Yeah complained about that and a number of things, they increased credit limit to 'highest amount possible' on this card (£2000) and dropped APR to 17.9%

Don't think I will get this card but we shall see

We'll I rang up today, he initially said I was declined - I asked why he said you've applied more than five times (not true) - I said well I'm an existing customer, he asked my existing card details, gave him them, he put me on hold, came back, told me I'd been accepted, card was produced today, would get it by Tuesday, wouldn't tell me my limit though!

I asked if my balance transfer went through - he didn't quite answer, I said I need to know as I asked for £2800 - he said I had to wait until I get the card, so I guess I've not quite been given £2800.

I'm still non the wiser, and don't trust the info given by these foreign call centres is accurate!

If you have two cards do they both show up in one online banking area?

Hey all, to my surprise I was accepted with quote a high limit! Over the moon. Goodbye Vanquis, you did you job, but 54.9% APR is just too high!
