    Thanks guys!

Yep, so excited right now! Looking forward to getting that letter saying the mortgage is done.

The plan is still most definitely Cornwall, however not just yet. Going to stay where I am for the next 4-5 years, carrying on saving as if I still had the mortgage so that by the time I move there, I can pretty much buy a house outright with little or no mortgage. The houses there are a lot more expensive than the one I live in now.

Good luck with your journey too Freshcotton.

Even once the mortgage is paid off, I'll still carry on posting on here until the move to Cornwall happens, bit of extra motivation and all that!

Mortgage Settlement figure landed on my doorstep this morning, and checked my bank to find I had enough money to pay in full without waiting for Fridays wages to go in.
I've just sent the final payment!!

I'm not going to celebrate until I get that letter to confirm its paid off (still got to post the overly complicated form to close the account later), but I can tell you I feel pretty good right now! :j:D:T

Have a lovely day everybody

    Congratulations!!!
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭
