Hi.
Well done on doing an SOA.
Have you spoken to your mortgage provider about making that element cheaper in the short term. I was unemployed or a student btwn 2010-12 and my lender;
- Gave me a payment holiday
- Then gave me a period of interest only payments
-Then extended the term so the amount dropped by £130 per month.
They were an absolute godsend.

Dont you miss ordinary TV? I didnt know that though...certainly worth knowing though. Think the kids would be the problem and maybe hubbie.......I hardly ever watch the tv.
It won't do them any harm to do without - there are plenty of ways of watching programmes and plenty of other things to do!0 -
Talktalk would be phone/internet/tv/landline for ~£250

Not at all. The kids have a BluRay player and a smaller flat screen which they watch disks on. We dont have live TV, only catchup and I dont miss it at all. I do have LoveFilm for the box-sets and I have an extensive library of my own to work through. It only seems like a big step, it really isnt. I promise, the kids will find other diversions. Mine have taken to learning chess (their idea, not mine) and draughts...they play against each other and you should hear the competitiveness going on in their room of an evening. Personally, I read a lot - my kindle has hundreds of books waiting to be read, I dont even think it's possible to run out. You dont have to spend a fortune on entertainment and certainly not TV.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Can you explain how this works please?? How come you are allowed to have a TV and prove that you dont watch live tv?
We watch sky atm, but also watch netflix, it drives me mad that I pay TV license and I dont even watch BBC lol (Do watch sky tho)

To my mind, a TV license at £12 odd per month is an awful lot cheaper than Sky or whatever at £36 per month. Freeview gives a pretty wide choice of programs to select from. A Sky subscription is definitely a luxury you can't afford.
Groceries - try Lidl or Aldi. I get most of my stuff there. A big trolley full of stuff ( a week's shop for a family of 5 ) recently cost me £80, the equivalent in Tesco would have been £150.0 -
buy the mirror tomorrow and get a £5 voucher of a £40 spend at aldi
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4906971
they normally have a few other special offer vouchers as well like half price something or other.
If your near a Waitrose sign up for their free card. This month i have been sent vouchers for half price cleaning products and a FREE own brand cleaning product in their essential range. Which i use anyway as they are really good. free tea or coffee when you shop even if you don't buy anything.
Selling things on facebook selling groups is easy. If you don't want people you know to see this then use a new id or call it a declutter. You find it by searching for your town/city name and selling or for sale and usually a few pop up. I have a change pot ready by the door for sold money. Handy for the kids little bits and bobs and does not come out my budget. I am thinking of a shoe cull this week.0 -
At this point the best option maybe to post a revised SOA advising of corrections and adjustments that have been made following the recommendations on here.0
