Being LLF is cheaper than both.0 -

Here is the link for you to have a play around with facts and figures - don't forget that you maybe entitled to council tax rebate if there is only one wage coming in. That won't help with the arrears at the moment but could make life a little easier if you were to go down that route.
As for the DCAs I would put them all on £1 token payments and wait for them to contact you. They may get a little upset and stroppy but you have other priority debts and a mortgage which take precedence over any credit card debts. Make it clear that you intend to pay (just not as quickly as they would like!) If they get stroppy and harass you then make it clear that all future contact will be by mail - end of!!
You are not alone in this - many people on these boards have been in your position - myself included. Use these boards to ask questions, vent, moan or whatever someone will always be around.

Thanks Swampduck, will have a look tomorrow, and maybe speak with council tax to see what they say.
Whenever we have made our arrangemtents with the DCA I always do it in writing, so I have the proof of what their response is.
Thanks for being there with suggestions ...I do truly appreciate it. At the moment, I have that much going around in my head about what to do for the best, I honestly dont know what to do, especially about changing the boys school.0 -

It's for them to prove you do.
I'm afraid not.
A TV Licence is required if you watch/record ANY live TV, and Sky is live TV.
Yes I know that, I was wondering (out loud) if we (my family) could do without sky and therefore the tv license as well and just watch Netflix.Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Hello All
Having a bit of a bad day today...bit weepy. Been signed off for 2 weeks now.
On a positive note I have redone my SOA and if I stick to what I have said and get myself clear with priority debts, we wouldnt be doing to bad with what we have left.
The main priority at the moment is to clear council tax arrears and water, then that would free up money to pay more towards mortgage arrears etc, and then we would have this extra wage left.
One of my sons is happy to go packed luch, so that has halfed the dinner money straight away
I have signed up to the GC to reduce food bill to £280.00, so lets see how that goes.
Also as we go into the spring/summer we use less gas and elec that that should reduce to.
I know it is not going to be easy, and going to be hard next few months paying these debts, but after seeing this SOA this is the outcome I want.
Bit of good news too, I complained to Halifax regarding £75.00 charges that were going to leave my husbands account next week, and as a goodwill gesture they waivered them, and also said would give us £150 for previous charges we have had in the pastI cried with joy on the phone. I explained to her every month they put the charges on, we go overdrawn, which in turn creates the further charges the following month
So checking account all the time for money going in, ...said could take upto next week to credit. Oh yes I have sold 1 of the items on ebay for £40, so all in all not looking too bad, just wish I could be bit more happier about itNevermind will get there.

That SOA is looking much more healthy!
Like you say, it's not going to be an overnight fix and is going to be a bumpy ride but whenever you have an off-moment you can take a look at this SOA and see what you're working towards!
With that much surplus cash at the end of the money you might be able to start getting those debts down too, which will be a big weight off your shoulders!
And that's wonderful news about the Halifax charges. Things will get sorted. Keep your chin up! You will get there! It all takes time and time is money,
money talks and talk is cheap.
