Use it to make fishcakes? Or hashcakes.
Add it to HM soups instead of putting in a potato and blitzing it?
When camping I use it to thicken cuppa soups and in cornbeef hash

Mustard cheesy mash balls - Was a recipe suggested to me by a friend who passed away last year (I've not had it since actually...) Anyway...
Smash made up, add a tablespoon of mustard (or to your taste), add some cheese spread/grated cheese/whatever needs using up, make the smash to quite a firm consistency, so it has just soaked up the flakes and then roll into balls, bake in the oven until crispy. Surprisingly nice actually
I can't stand the stuff on its own but I had some in from when I had a jaw operation. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Great to sprinkle into the Slow Cooker when a casserole hasn't thickened up properly.
My eldest son keeps a pack of the cheapie stuff (SmartPrice) in the cupboard specially for that reason.0
