I am useless at ebay - I hate doing it but needs must and I am doing some self employed work and cant really offer any good advice that you don't already know but if you need a shoulder to cry on or a hug or a laugh I am always here x
Thanks, I will almost certainly need your help at some stage.
My personal life is a bit of a mess but at the moment I don't have the courage or the will to tackle it. Tacking the debt seems easier. I also need to tackle the jobs that need to be done around the house and garden.
I am hoping that, like you, getting to grips with one or two parts of my life will help me deal with the problems in other parts. We'll see. :cool:0 -
I am knackered beyond belief tonight. Not surprising after the past couple of weeks (won't go into it but it's been emotional and traumatic
).
So I haven't done any work on my website nor any freelance work for my client. Am about to make my lunch for tomorrow and get off to bed.
Today's debt-busting summary:
The good:- Took HM breakfast and lunch into work
- Found my usual free parking spot
- Resisted the lure of the vending machine
- Checked account balances online
- Got free paper when shopping at Waitrose
- Shopped in Waitrose (necessary for a particular brand of yogurt)
- Spent money in Asda including an entirely gratuitous purchase of hot cross buns
- Didn't do any freelance work
- Didn't work on my own website
Until tomorrow.0 -
Sleep well chuck ((hugs)) for the last couple of weeks x I've had a carp time of things too of late and it has affected my productivity today so these things do take their toll and yours does sound worse xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000

Well, I'm still knackered tonight because I keep waking up in the middle of the night so I will have a reasonably early night again tonight.
This week has not been brilliant really, in terms of generating money but at least it's pay-day tomorrow. :j:T:D
Today's report:
The good:- Brought HM breakfast and lunch into work
- Someone gave me a lovely bunch of flowers
- Got free parking space
- Spent no money whatsoever
- Checked account balances
- Put a small amount into my SPC jar
- Nothing put up on ebay
- No freelance work done
- No work done on my own website
I will report back tomorrow on what I expect of myself over the weekend - it will definitely involve a) decluttering and b) getting things started in the garden.0 -
Just back from a meal out (I didn't have to pay
) and so I'll just jot down my daily report. Not much different to the past few days.
The good:- Brought in HM breakfast and lunch to work
- Free parking space
- Got paid :j
- Quidco tell me they are sending me a few quid
- Did the weekly shop in Lidl, spent less than 50 pounds
- Put a small amount into my SPC7 jar
The bad:- Nope, it's all good (don't expect myself to do extra work or ebaying on a Friday)
I have 2 extra bills plus a weekend away to pay for in March, so I really need that ebay cash. Will start getting stuff together this weekend.
Night all, sweet dreams.0 -
Well, today is a glorious day down in the sunny South West. :j
I have been soooooo looking forward to Spring - and here it is. (Well some might argue it's not Spring until the Equinox but I've always considered 1st March to be Spring).
My snowdrops and crocuses are putting on a magnificent display in the front garden and are making a good effort in the back garden - need to move some more snowdrops around this month. The daffodils and tulips are coming up and are going to be glorious. The only thing in my veggie patch at the moment is some celeriac, which I will aim to use up in the next few weeks, and the garlic which is coming along nicely.
I have just spent £10 of my March spending money on glass for the greenhouse as two panes got smashed over the winter. Will go out and fix those later. I plan to spend the rest of the daylight-part of the day in the garden, there's so much to do and it makes me happy.
Tonight, I will plan out my seed-sowing and veggie/flower growing so I know what I'm doing. Has to be my favourite time of year, when those first seeds get sown. :j
Be back later.0 -
Hi p&f,
I am pleased you are spending the day doing something that makes you happy
hope the weather stayed good for you too
I too need to get on with the bay of e - i currently have nothing to list :eek:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
DDFW, you must have thoroughly decluttered your house to have nothing to list - I have tons of stuff to shift.
Today brings back that old familiar feeling - a body aching from top to toe after a day's hard graft in the garden. I got loads done and am really pleased with myself. Fixed the greenhouse glass, did loads of clearing out and loads of weeding. It's looking much better already. It was so good to smell the fresh soil between my fingers, breathe in some warm air and do lots of hard physical work. :T
The weather was lovely and sunny so I got two loads of washing dried on the line as well.
So today's summary:
The good:- Fixed the greenhouse
- Loads of work done in the garden
- Checked account balances
- Cooked tea for everyone from stuff in the freezer
- Got given a lovely fresh cabbage from someone's garden
- Got rid of lots of old paperwork in our garden incinerator
- Did lots of little household jobs
- Ate too much
- Spent a tenner on greenhouse glass
