Carphone warehouse upgrade

Hi all,
I just upgraded my mobile through the CarPhone Warehouse. It stated on their website that if you place your order before 5pm, you get next day delivery.
I placed my order around 16:35 and got a conformation of my order at 16:45.

I am meant to receive a second email to say its been dispatched and on their website it says they will usually send this the day before delivery.

Anyone else upgraded online via CarPhone Warehouse and know what the drill is?

(I've had several mobile phone contracts before and never been refused, so I'm assuming that its not a problem with my credit check!)

You should ring them and ask for confirmation (possibly a bit late now for today though, I think the call centre is only open till 8pm), I had a similar problem with an order just before 5pm, it wasn't delivered until the day after it should have been (the second day after the order was placed). Their excuse was the 5pm relates to the time the warehouse process the order.

CarPhoneWarehouse are pretty good at making things up as they go along.

Thats so naughty of them to do that! If it comes to that I feel like just cancelling my order because of the principle of it... but then i'm the only one loosing out there! Thanks for the info though, what you'd said is what is likely to happen. Unfortunately I didn't realise until 9pm that I hadn't received the dispatch email, otherwise I would have got on to them before. Ah well, its only a phone I guess!

Is waiting an extra day going to kill you? lol

Give it till close of play today and see what happens. They might surprise you and it turns up.

As expected, it never turned up yesterday... its on route today. Its just annoying, why say if you order before 5pm you get it the next day because thats simply not true!
